About your home insurance contract
Age UK Home Insurance is an annual household insurance contract underwritten by Ageas
Insurance Limited, apart from the Personal legal protection optional extension of cover, which is underwritten by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Limited.
Age UK Home Insurance offers Buildings and Contents cover on a bedroom rated basis. For Buildings we cover properties with a rebuilding value up to £500,000 and for Contents cover up to £60,000. If the cost to replace all your Contents is greater than £60,000 we can provide a special quote.
The maximum claim limit for Buildings must be high enough to cover the cost of rebuilding your home and for Contents must be high enough to replace, as new, all the Contents of your home.
The different sections or extensions of cover available are Buildings, Contents (both of which allow you to choose whether you include cover for Accidental damage), Unspecified personal belongings, Specified personal belongings, Pedal cycles, Personal legal protection, Static caravans and Touring caravans. The sections or extensions you have chosen and the maximum claim limits are shown on your policy schedule.
