5. E-lead Generation Opportunities 5A. - Contact Carrier Button
Every schedule that is displayed in response to a user’s query is a potential lead. Activation of OceanSchedules.com contact button allows the user to submit a request to the carrier to make contact about the specified voyage. A contact button feature will also be added to the Vessel info box to provide an additional opportunity for users to contact a carrier. OceanSchedules. com sends the lead to the carrier’s specified email address for rapid follow-up. A confirmation email is also sent to the requestor. Both emails include branding opportunities. Any advertiser can add the OceanSchedules.com e-lead process to their advertising banners. Clicking on the ad allows the user to submit a request to the advertiser. OceanSchedules.com captures the us-ers request automatically and sends to the advertisus-ers specified email address for rapid follow up. A confirmation email is also sent to the requestor. Every schedule that is displayed in response to a user’s query is a potential booking. Advertising on the OceanSchedules.com info button gives you added visibility to a user interested in a specific voyage. Each Vessel Info Box pop-up has 2 advertising options: a full banner below the vessel information, or one of four ad/link buttons below the vessel information.
7. Page “Wrapping”
Advertisers can also design campaigns to “wrap” a site page (spread a single message across multiple ad placements such as a leaderboard and skyscraper), to further increase the impact of their message.

Guidelines - Leaderboard, Skyscraper, Rectangle Advertisement
1. All ads should be coded so that click-thrus launch a new browser window using target=”_blank”. 2. Flash Specifications:
- must be published for Flash plug-in 8 or lower.
- all locally served Flash ads need to have a clicktag encoded rather than a hard coded click-thru
command. The following code needs to be manually added to the .swf file before the Ad is sent to OceanSchedules.com. Code can be added to a symbol or a button( NOT a movie clip):

- a default gif must be submitted for visitors without Flash or JavaScript
3. No ad can prompt the download of a plug-in, and must be coded to search for any required plug-ins and display an alternate ad to those who don’t have it.
Guidelines for Port Text Advertisements
Each ad should include the following five elements:1. Header text (30 character limit) 2. Header URL
3. Body text (appears on two lines with a 58 character limit) 4. Footer text
5. Footer URL (26 character limit)

Include identifying information such as client’s and/or agency’s contact name, email address, telephone number, and a short description of the campaign and run date. Ads should be delivered via email or disk at least five days prior to the start of a campaign.
Commercial Terms
OceanSchedules.com requires that an advertiser execute an Advertising Master Agreement before any ads can be placed on the site. OceanSchedules.com and the advertiser then create “campaigns” which consist of one or more “creatives.” The campaigns are executed under the terms of the Master Agreement and are at least one month in duration.
Payment terms are Net 30 from the date of invoicing for existing customers. Invoices are issued at the start of a campaign. New customers may require prepayment.
Special Branding Opportunities for Carriers
Free Schedules Hosting for Carriers
OceanSchedules.com invites all carriers to display their schedules on OceanSchedules.com at no charge. This allows any carrier to be included with its competitors for user queries. Simply send an electronic file in one of OceanSchedules.com’s approved formats to OceanSchedules.com and it will be displayed on the site. Free Branding on the Information Pop-Up
Every schedule record displayed on the site has an ‘info’ icon, which provides a free branding opportunity for a carrier. The carrier is invited to provide a 180 x 150 rectangle advertisement to communicate the carrier’s branding message when a user inquires about more information on a particular sailing. This ad can provide free click-thrus to any web page specified by the carrier.
Campaign Reports
OceanSchedules.com monitors real-time site traffic, and can provide usage data on the most frequently requested origins, destinations, or trade lanes, supplying advertisers with key data to help target messages to an attractive audience of ocean transportation buyers.
When an ad or campaign is online, advertisers can access these reports and performance data including: - Monthly Report of impressions and click-thrus
- Life-of-Campaign Report that include: • Campaign summary
• Day of the month delivery • Creative delivery information • Continent delivery information • Country delivery information • City delivery information
