A) Getting started
Installing the uHub PC client
1. After the previous version has been removed (if any), “uHub Installer” will prompt you through setting up the new PC client. Click [Next] to proceed.
2. Read and agree to the License Agreement and click “I Agree” to proceed.
3. Follow the steps to complete installation. The PC client software occupies approximately 19.1MB of hard disk space.

4. After installation, you can start using the uHub PC client.
5. A shortcut desktop icon will be created. Click the icon to open the software, or go to Windows Start menu > All Programs > uHub > uHub to start the uHub PC client.
6. Login using your uHub account.
Hint: If your uHub username is in the @netvigator.com domain, you can omit the
“@netvigator.com” suffix on your username for quick entry.

Signing up
1. If you do not yet have a uHub account, go to www.uhub.com and click “Sign Up”.
2. Follow the steps to register. You can sign up as a NETVIGATOR broadband, PCCW mobile customer or as a member of the general public. Your free storage entitlement will be shown during registration.
3. Once you are done with registration, you are ready to use uHub service.
General settings
1. You can change login and language settings in “Preferences”.
2. Tick the “Enable auto login” checkbox, so you do not have to login each time you start the PC client.
3. Tick the “Auto start application upon Windows Start” checkbox to auto-run the uHub PC client after Windows startup.

Hint: Windows Vista and Windows 7 users can switch quickly to different uHub accounts by changing the username and password under “Login Details” in this dialog box.
uHub tray
1. A uHub tray icon shows on the Windows system tray once installed.
2. Mouseover the uHub icon to display storage usage.
3. Click the uHub icon for the PC client menu.
Open uHub folder: This function opens the uHub folder in the same way as when you double-click the uHub desktop or tray icon.
Show storage statistics: Enables you to check your uHub storage usage by detailed category breakdown.

About uHub: Identifies the currently-installed uHub PC Client version.
Check for updates: Searches for the latest uHub PC client version and upgrades the software.
Quit: Quits the uHub PC client and logs out from the uHub server.

B) General functions
Upload/download a file
1. Simply drag and drop files/folders to upload and download them.
2. Drag and drop files/folders to the uHub folder to upload to uHub cloud storage.
3. Drag and drop files/folders from the uHub folder to keep a copy on your desktop.

Hint: You can open your uHub folder quickly by double-clicking the uHub desktop icon or the uHub tray icon when the uHub PC client is running.
Sharing function
Two types of sharing function offered by uHub are:
Share: Shares files or folders with friends by sending a sharing link to them. A password is optional for greater security.
Private Share: Shares folders with friends by invitation and grants them the right to upload or delete files in your shared folder.

C) Share
How to share
1. Select a file/folder and right-click on it.
2. Select “uHub Share” > “Share”.
3. Read and accept the disclaimer by ticking the click box if you do not wish to be informed again when using the sharing function.
4. Enable the sharing link and add an optional password for greater security, if required.
5. Share the link with your friends via email, Twitter, Facebook or Google+ by clicking on the icons in the dialog box.

6. A shared icon indicates that the file/folder is being shared.
How to unshare
1. Untick the “Enable file sharing link” box to unshare the file/folder with your friends.
2. Click “Confirm”.
3. Once you untick the sharing link, the link will no longer be accessible.
4. If you want to share again, tick the box and a new sharing link will be generated.
How to view
1. When you or your friends receive a sharing link, it can be viewed by simply clicking on the link or opening the link via your web browser.
2. You can then view, download or save the file directly to your uHub account.

D) Private share
How to share privately
1. Select the file/folder and right-click on it.
2. Select “uHub Share” > “Private Share”.
3. Invite friends by entering their email addresses or select them from the “My buddies”
list, which shows contacts with whom you have shared privately on previous occasions.

4. Set the access right for each of your select friends before sending out the invitation:
a. Read only: Allows viewing and downloading of files.
b. Can edit: Allows viewing, uploading, downloading and deletion of files.
How to manage your shared folder
After the folder has been shared, you can right-click the file and select “uHub share” >
“Private Share” to view status of invited friends.
How to unshare a folder
1. Right-click the file and select “uHub share” > “Private Share”.
2. If you want to unshare a folder with a few friends on the invited list, click on the right-hand side of the row containing the user you want to unshare with.
3. If you want to unshare the folder with all your friends, click the “Unshare” button.

How to accept a sharing invitation for the first time
1. Buddies sending a sharing invitation to you will do so via email.
2. Click the hyperlink that leads you to uHub’s website to view a folder.
3. Before accepting an invitation and viewing a folder, you need to login to uHub using your uHub account. You need to sign up as a uHub user to view a shared folder.
4. Once you login or sign up as a new uHub user, your email will be paired with your uHub account when you confirm. After the pairing, you can handle a sharing invitation directly from uHub’s website.

How to view a shared folder
1. You will receive notification of a sharing invitation once you login to the uHub PC client.
2. You can accept an inviation or select “Remind me later” for later viewing.
3. You can also check manually by right-clicking the uHub icon in the tray.
4. You can access a privately-shared folder from the “Received Files” folder after accepting a sharing invitation. You can choose to view the shared folder shared by your buddies.

5. You can view folder information by right-clicking the folder and selecting “uHub Share” > “Share Info”.
Special shared folders tip:
You can download shared folders from your friends to your local device. Drag and drop the file/folder to your preferred location.
How to quit a shared folder
You can leave folder information by right-clicking the folder and selecting “uHub Share” >
“Leave Folder”.

How to restore a deleted file/folder
1. Go to .

3. Select ‘Restore’ to restore the file to its original location.
