JESUS CARRIES OUT THE MIRACULOUS DISTRIBUTION BESIDE THE SEA OF GALILEE
Now a large crowd was following him on account of the fact that they were viewing the signs that he was performing before those who were ailing, and Jesus went up into the highland, and there he was sitting with his disciples. Now the festival of the jews, the pesach, was near. So Jesus, having raised the eyes and having beheld that a large crowd was coming to him, says to Philip, “Where may we buy loaves so that these may eat.” Now this thing he was saying testing him, for he himself knew what he was going to do. Philip answered him, “Loaves of two hundred denarii are not enough relative to them so that each may take a little something.” One of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, says to him: “There is a small child here who has five barley loaves and two condiments. But what are these things relative to so many?” Jesus said, “Cause the people to recline.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the people reclined. As to the number, it was like, five thousand. So Jesus took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed them to the ones who were reclining. In like manner, he also distributed from the condiments as much as they were wanting. Now when they were filled up, he says to his disciples, “Gather up the superfluous fragments so that nothing may be wasted.” So they gathered them up, and they filled twelve baskets with the five barley loaf fragments that were superfluous to the ones who had eaten. So having seen what sign he performed, the people were saying, “This one is truly the prophet who comes into the world.” (According To John 6,2—14)
The Prophet
The people of the large crowd thought that Jesus was a prophet who was like Moses.1
1 ךומכ םהיחא ברקמ םהל םיקא איבנ (A prophet like you, I will erect for them, from the midst of their relatives.) The foregoing words come from םירבד 18,18.

JESUS TEACHES THE CROWD IN CAPERNAUM
And having found him across the sea, they said to him: “Rabbi! When have you come to be here?” Jesus responded to them and said: “Amen! Amen! I tell you, ‘You seek me not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were well fed. Work not for the food that perishes; but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the son of man will give you; for this one, the father, god, sealed.’”
So they said to him, “What should we do so that we work at the works of god.” Jesus responded and said to them, “This thing is the work of god: that you believe in him whom that one commissioned.” So they said to him: “Then what sign do you perform so that we may see it and believe in you? At what do you work? Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness just as it is written ‘He gave them bread out of heaven for them to eat.’” Jesus then said to them: “Amen! Amen! I tell you, ‘Not Moses has given you the bread out of heaven, but my father gives you the true bread out of heaven, for the bread of god is the one that comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.’” So they said to him: “Lord! Give us this bread always.” Jesus said to them: “I am the bread of life. The one who comes to me may in no way hunger, and the one who believes in me will in no way ever thirst.” (According To John 6,25—35)
A Thing That Jesus Said
Not the prophet who is like Moses has given you the bread out of heaven, but my father gives you the true bread out of heaven, for the bread of god is the bread that comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.
The Spirit Versus The Loaves
The crowd sought Jesus for the loaves.
Jesus told the crowd not to seek him for the loaves, for he told the crowd not to work for the food that perished.
The crowd saw signs but did not seek Jesus for the spirit.
Jesus told the crowd to seek him for the spirit, for he told the crowd to work for the food that endured for eternal life.
Jesus knew that the crowd likened the loaves to the manna. He called the loaves “the bread out of heaven” after the crowd associated the manna with the words “bread out of heaven.”
Jesus called the spirit “the true bread out of heaven.” Not the prophet who was like Moses had given the crowd the loaves, but the father of Jesus gave the crowd the spirit.
Jesus called the spirit “the bread of god.” He told the crowd that the spirit was the bread that came down out of heaven and gave life to the world, for he told the crowd that the bread of god was the bread that came down out of heaven and gave life to the world.
The Metaphor “I Am The Bread Of Life”
Jesus said that he was like the spirit, for he said that he was like the bread of life.2
2 The following words come from Κατα Ιωανην 6,35. εγω ειμι ο αρτος της ζωης (I am the bread of life.) The words εγω ειμι ο αρτος της ζωης (I am the bread of life.) are words of a metaphor and are equivalent to the words “I am like the spirit.”

JESUS REACTS TO THE MUMBLING OF THE JEWS AT THE SYNAGOGUE IN CAPERNAUM
Now the jews were mumbling about him because he said, “I am the bread which has come down out of heaven.” They were saying: “Is this not Joseph's son Jesus, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, ‘Out of heaven, I have come down’?” Jesus reacted and said to them: “Do not mumble to one another. Someone is able to come to me only if the father, who has sent me, pull him; and I will raise him up in the latter day. It is written in the prophets: ‘And all will be taught ones of god.’
Everyone who has given ear to the father and has learned comes to me. Not that anyone has seen the father, except the one who is from god. This one has seen the father. Amen! Amen! I tell you: ‘The one who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and died. This one is the bread that comes down out of heaven so that someone may eat of it and not die.
I am the living bread which has come down out of heaven. If someone eats of this bread, he will live eternally; and furthermore, the bread that I will provide for the sake of the life of the world is my flesh.’” (According To John 6,41—51)
A Thing That Jesus Said
The one who believes has eternal life. I am like the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and died. This bread is the bread that comes down out of heaven so that someone may eat of it and not die. I am like the living bread which has come down out of heaven. If someone eats of this bread, he will live eternally; and furthermore, the bread that I will provide for the sake of the life of the world is like my flesh.
The Spirit Versus The Manna
The bread of life was the bread that came down out of heaven and gave life to the world. The fathers of the jews ate the manna in the wilderness and died. The bread of life was the bread that came down out of heaven so that someone might eat of it and not die.
The Metaphor “I Am The Living Bread Which Has Come Down Out Of Heaven”
Jesus said that he was like the spirit, for he said that he was like the living bread which had come down out of heaven.3
The Loaf
The bread that Jesus would provide for the sake of the life of the world was the formal thing, the loaf.
The flesh of Jesus was ongoing. The formal thing, the loaf, was like the flesh of Jesus because the formal thing, the loaf, was ongoing.4
3 The following words come from Κατα Ιωανην 1,32. τεθεαμαι το πνευμα καταβαινον ως περιστεραν εξ ουρανου και εμεινεν επ αυτον (I have seen the spirit come down out of heaven as a dove, and it remained upon him.)
4 תחש תוארל ךידיסח ןתת אל לואשל ישפנ בזעת אל יכ חטבל ןכשי ירשב ףא (Also, my flesh will go on securely; for you will neither relinquish my soul to Sheol nor allow your devout one to undergo decomposition.) The foregoing words come from םילהת 16,9—10.

PAUL ADMONISHES BROTHERS WHO ARE IN CORINTH
So is when you come together unto the same place not for you to eat the lord's supper? For in eating, each one gets his own supper early; and this one is hungry; and that one is drunk. Do you not have homes for eating and drinking? Or do you think little of the church of god and humiliate the ones who do not have anything? What should I say to you? Should I compliment you? With regard to this thing, I do not compliment you; for I received down from the lord what I also handed down to you: The lord Jesus, during the night when he was being betrayed, took a loaf; and having given thanks, he fragmented it and said: “This thing, which is for your sake, is my body. Do this for remembrance of me.” Analogous to this, he also took the cup after supping, saying: “This cup is the new covenant that is in association with my blood. Do this whenever you drink this cup for remembrance of me.” (To Corinthians A 11,20—25)
Things That Jesus Did And Things That Jesus Said
The lord Jesus, during the night when he was being betrayed, took a loaf; and having given thanks, he fragmented it and said: “This thing, which is for your sake, is like my collective body. Liken this thing to my collective body for remembrance of me.” Analogous to this, he also took the cup after supping, saying: “This cup is like the new covenant that is in association with my collective blood. Liken this cup to the new covenant that is in association with my collective blood, whenever you drink this cup for remembrance of me.”
The Providing Of The Loaf
Jesus blessed a loaf by giving thanks. Having blessed it, he fragmented it.
The thing that was for the sake of the table fellows of Jesus was the formal thing, the loaf.5
The collective body of Jesus was a blessed collective. The formal thing, the loaf, was like the collective body of Jesus because the formal thing, the loaf, was a blessed collective.
The table fellows of Jesus were to liken the formal thing, the loaf, to the collective body of Jesus for remembrance of Jesus.
The Employing Of The Cup Of Blessing
Jesus likened the cup of blessing to the new covenant that was in association with his collective blood.
The new covenant that was in association with the collective blood of Jesus was a blessed lot. The cup of blessing was like the new covenant that was in association with the collective blood of Jesus, for the cup of blessing was a blessed lot.
The table fellows of Jesus drank the formal thing, the cup, whenever they drank the cup of blessing for remembrance of Jesus.
5 The following words come from Προς Κορινθιους α 11,23—24. ο κυριος Ιησους εν τη νυκτι η παρεδιδετο ελαβεν αρτον και ευχαριστησας εκλασεν και ειπεν τουτο μου εστιν το σωμα το υπερ υμων τουτο ποιειτε εις την εμην αναμνησιν (The lord Jesus, during the night when he was being betrayed, took a loaf; and having given thanks, he fragmented it and said: “This thing, which is for your sake, is my body. Do this for remembrance of me.”) The gender of the noun αρτον (loaf) does not match the gender of the demonstrative pronoun in the sentence τουτο μου εστιν το σωμα το υπερ υμων (This thing, which is for your sake, is my body.). The noun αρτον (loaf) is not the antecedent of the demonstrative pronoun in the foregoing sentence.

GOD BLESSES THE NEW COVENANT
Take note. There are days which come. (The Uttering Of Yahweh) And I cut with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a new covenant that is not like the covenant that I cut with their fathers in the day of my holding onto their hand to bring them out of the land of Mizraim, for they broke my covenant, and I had dominion over them. (The Uttering Of Yahweh) For this is the covenant that I cut with the house of Israel after those days: (The Uttering Of Yahweh) I must put my law in their gut; and upon their heart, I must write it. And I become god according to them. And they become a people according to me. And they each do not still teach their friend and their relative, saying, “Know Yahweh”; for from their small to their great, they all know me. (The Uttering Of Yahweh) For I grant pardon for their going astray, and I do not still think back to their wrongdoing. (Jeremiah 31,31—34)
The Collective Blood Of Jesus
Yahweh likened the collective blood of Jesus to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah, for he called the collective blood of Jesus “the house of Israel” and “the house of Judah.”
The house of Israel and the house of Judah went astray and did wrong. The collective blood of Jesus was like the house of Israel and was like the house of Judah, for the collective blood of Jesus went astray and did wrong.
The Fathers
Paul and his brothers in Corinth had fathers who broke Yahweh's covenant.6
6 The following words come from Προς Κορινθιους α 10,1. ου θελω γαρ υμας αγνοειν αδελφοι οτι οι πατερες ημων παντες υπο την νεφελην ησαν και παντες δια της θαλασσης διηλθον (For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers all were beneath the cloud. And our fathers all passed through the sea.)

PAUL TEACHES LOVED ONES WHO ARE IN CORINTH
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. As if I speak to the insightful, I say, “You determine what I convey.” Is not the cup of blessing, which we bless, a collective of the blood of the christ? Is not the loaf, which we fragment, a collective of the body of the christ? Because there is one loaf, we, the many, are one body; for we, the all, partake of the one loaf. Consider the Israel that is according to the flesh (κατα σαρκα)7. Are not the ones who consume the sacrifices fellows of the altar? (To Corinthians A 10,14—18)
A Thing That Paul Wrote
Is not the cup of blessing, which we bless, like a collective of the blood of the christ? Is not the loaf, which we fragment, like a collective of the body of the christ? Because there is one loaf, we, the many, are like one body; for we, the all, partake of the one loaf. Consider the Israel that is unexceptional. Are not the ones who consume the sacrifices fellows of the altar?
The Unexceptional Israel And The Exceptional Israel
The Israel that was according to the flesh was the Israel that was unexceptional. The Israel that was exceptional was the collective of the blood of the christ.
7 The following words come from Προς Κορινθιους α 10,18. βλεπετε τον Ισραηλ κατα σαρκα (Consider the Israel that is according to the flesh.) The words κατα σαρκα (according to the flesh) are equivalent to the words “according to the animate tissue of the human being.”

JESUS REACTS TO THE CONTESTING OF THE JEWS AT THE SYNAGOGUE IN CAPERNAUM
Consequently, the jews were contesting to one another, saying, “How is this individual able to provide for us his flesh for us to eat?” So Jesus said to them: “Amen! Amen! I tell you: ‘If you do not eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you do not have life within yourselves. The one who feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the latter day, for my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. The one who feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in association with (εν)8 me, and I remain in association with him. Just as the living father commissioned (απεστειλεν)9 me and I live because of the father, the one who feeds on me will also live because of me. This individual is the bread which has come down out of heaven. Not as the fathers ate and died, the one who feeds on this bread will live eternally.’” (According To John 6,52—58)
A Thing That Jesus Said
This individual is like the bread which has come down out of heaven. Not as the fathers ate and died, the one who feeds on this bread will live eternally.
The Loaf And The Cup
Jesus likened the formal thing, the loaf, to the flesh of the son of man; for he called it “the flesh of the son of man.”
The flesh of the son of man was ongoing. The formal thing, the loaf, was like the flesh of the son of man because the formal thing, the loaf, was ongoing.
Jesus likened the formal thing, the cup, to the blood of the son of man; for he called it “his blood.”
The blood of the son of man was ongoing. The formal thing, the cup, was like the blood of the son of man because the formal thing, the cup, was ongoing.
The Metaphor “This Individual Is The Bread Which Has Come Down Out Of Heaven”
Jesus said that the son of man was like the spirit, for he said that the son of man was like the bread which had come down out of heaven.
8 The following words come from Κατα Ιωανην 15,9—10. καθως ηγαπησεν με ο πατηρ καγω υμας ηγαπησα μεινατε εν τη αγαπη τη εμη εαν τας εντολας μου τηρησητε μενειτε εν τη αγαπη μου καθως εγω του πατρος μου τας εντολας τετηρηκα και μενω αυτου εν τη αγαπη (Just as the father loved me, I also loved you. Remain in association with my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in association with my love just as I have kept my father's commandments and remain in association with his love.)
9 The following words come from Κατα Ιωανην 3,34. ον γαρ απεστειλεν ο θεος τα ρηματα του θεου λαλει (For the one whom god commissioned utters the utterances of god.)

JESUS REACTS TO THE MUMBLING OF HIS DISCIPLES AT THE SYNAGOGUE IN CAPERNAUM
Teaching in Capernaum, he said these things at a synagogue. So having listened, many of his disciples said: “This word is repulsive. Who is able to give ear to it?” But Jesus, knowing within himself that his disciples are mumbling about this thing, said to them: “Does this thing subvert (σκανδαλιζει)10 you?
So what if you watch the son of man go up into where he was earlier on? The spirit is the thing that enlivens you. The flesh does not assist (ωφελει)11 any bit! The utterances which I have uttered to you are spirit and are life. But there are of you some who do not believe.” For from the start, Jesus knew which ones were the ones who did not believe, and which one was the one who would betray him. And he was saying, “In view of this, I have told you that someone is able to come to me only if it has been given to him from the father.” (According To John 6,59—65)
A Thing That Jesus Said
Does this thing subvert you? So what if you watch the son of man go up into where you think he was earlier on? The spirit is the thing that enlivens you. The animate tissue of the human being does not assist any bit! The utterances which I have uttered to you are like spirit and are like life.
The Spirit Versus The Flesh
The mumbling of the disciples of Jesus indicated that the disciples of Jesus lacked insight.
The disciples of Jesus were in danger of their holding that they were enlivened by the animate tissue of the human being; for they had heard Jesus say, “This individual is the bread which has come down out of heaven.”
If the disciples of Jesus watched the son of man go up into where they thought he was earlier on, they would be even more in danger of their holding that they were enlivened by the animate tissue of the human being.
Jesus told his disciples that the spirit was the thing that enlivened them. He also told them that the animate tissue of the human being did not assist any bit.
The Utterances
The utterances which Jesus had uttered to his disciples were like spirit and were like life because to have those utterances was to have spirit and was to have life.
10 The following words come from Κατα Ιωανην 16,1. ταυτα λελαληκα υμιν ινα μη σκανδαλισθητε (These things, I have uttered to you, so that you might not be overthrown.)
11 The following words come from Κατα Ιωανην 12,19. θεωρειτε οτι ουκ ωφελειτε ουδεν (See that you are not helping any bit!)
