In addition to the online surveys, during 2013-2014 school year, Pasco was chosen to participate in the pre-gridded paper survey as part of a FLDOE comparison study. Therefore, the 2014 data includes both online and paper survey data.

NOTABLE: PERSPECTIVE
Comparing the 75 districts we find:
u 31counties or (41%) for Pre-K and 41 counties or (55%) for K-12, met the state standard of 75%.
u 29% of the 41% who met the Pre-K standard had less than 10%
response rate.
u 59% of the 55% who met the K-12 standard had less than 10%
response rate.

HOW DO WE GET TO THE GOAL?
u Promote enhanced awareness of ESE Parent Survey, and the specific areas addressed, with staff, faculty and parents at each school
u Promote the importance of completing the survey at T/IEP meetings, parent
conferences, school visits, and ESE trainings in order to obtain valuable input to assist schools with improving services provided to ESE students and their families
u Provide ‘professional learning’ to teachers regarding enhanced communication with clientele especially pertaining to ESE best practices
u Involve All stakeholders in sharing the impact Parent Involvement has on student achievement and overall student outcomes (SAC, PTA, etc.)
u Include ESE Parent Survey link to School Webpage and promote using social media
outlets (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
