 Project – EU – SFA 2005

 Objective

To support the governments of the three islands – Dominica, Grenada and St Vincent and the Grenadines (Eastern Caribbean Region) t o i m p l e m e n t t h e i r n a t i o n a l S F A 2 0 0 5 programmes in order to foster economic diversification. (Agriculture to ICT Sector) Budget allocation (EU Funding):

Dominica - EUR 4.51M, Grenada - EUR 0.5 M

St. Vincent and the Grenadines - EUR 4.53 M

 Project :- Information Technology Based Training and Management Programme

 Island :- St Kitts

 Implementing Agency :- Ministry of Education, Youth, Social & Community

 Budget :- EUR 3.18 M

 Project Duration :- 5 yrs (2003-2011)

 Objective :- The 9th EDF-funded Information Technology (IT) Based Training and

Management Project aims to implement IT institutional development and training

programmes at the tertiary and continuing

education levels in St. Kitts and Nevis

 Objective :- To foster the diversification and

competitiveness of the economy. development of a vibrant and sustainable IT-sector in the country through: an

increased adoption of ICTs by the strategic sectors (such

as agro-processing, SMEs, tourism, financial services,

etc); a developed ICT service industry; empowerment of

social groups, communities, and individuals and support

for an ICT driven public sector reform.
