A
Word
From the Sponsorship Officers
Dear Prospective Partner ,
T
hank you for your interest in partnering with the Australian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA), the nationalrepresentative body for over 17,000 medical students across Australia. Through partnerships with organisations like yours, AMSA is able to continue to inform, connect, represent, and provide opportunities for our student members who are the doctors and healthcare leaders and decision makers of tomorrow.
It is our pleasure to invite you to be part of AMSA’s 10th annual Global Health Conference (GHC) to be held in Sydney on the 5th - 9th September, 2014. AMSA’s Global Health Conference is an exciting and innovative event for over 600 medical students across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region.
GHC has a strong history of focusing on current global and local health issues as well as providing practical skills to empower the delegation to utilise their knowledge and passion to make a tangible contribution to healthcare across the world. GHC provides a platform for like-minded peers from Australia and beyond to interact with each other as well as experts and professionals, to share and develop ideas and work towards making a change to the world we live in.
The medical students of today are unique. Like many who have gone before, they are hardworking with a strong commitment to social justice. This generation has also had the privilege of living within a global community. Never before have students been more aware, and more connected to the ever-changing landscape and challenges facing society on a global scale. With this, comes the desire, and the responsibility to utilise this advantage towards making a difference. Driven, intelligent, passionate and dedicated are but a few of the qualities the delegation of students at GHC possess, and it is now more than ever that this power can be harnessed. Partnership involvement with GHC will enable your organisation to engage and connect with these medical students at the beginning of their career, in the prime of their development. As citizens of the world today and global leaders tomorrow, it is now that they are ready, that they are most eager to take on new information and embrace new challenges.

Open throughout the academic program, the Tradeshow provides a great opportu-nity for your representatives to connect with delegates on a one-on-one, face-to face level and increase brand exposure and engagement throughout the conference. In order to further promote student engagement with sponsors in this space, a ‘sponsor safari’ is organised in which students are encouraged to meet with each attending sponsor and ultimately are in a draw to win a prize if every sponsor is met. A booth here is the most effective way for your organisation to directly interact with all attending delegates each day of our four-day academic program. Your representatives will be meeting over 600 full registration delegates and many more partial registration delegates. A double booth gives your organi-sation a greater opportunity to engage with the delegates, and more flexibility with the creative interactive activities that you are able to run.
