GUIDING PRINCIPLES REVIEW

It is the Governing Boards intention to do an annual review of PUMC's

Guiding Principles every May. If you have suggestions or particular items you would like us to take a look at, please let us know. Thank you, Mike Howell

MISSION TRIP

At a recent meeting, the Missions Team put some finishing touches on our planned mission trip. It was decided to participate with C.R.O.S.S. Ministry in Charleston, WV. This Christian mission group focuses on repairing/renovating homes for the needy, the elderly and veterans in the Kanawha Valley. They work closely with several other non-profits that expand our service

opportunities to also include working in a community garden, community lunch program, or transporting elderly to appointments and stores. C.R.O.S.S. Ministry will supply our meals, give us suggestions for ways to appreciate the local culture in the evenings, and help arrange for a half (whole?) day of fun on our last day in town. Depending on the number of people who sign up, costs per person should be around $50.00 because of our profits from the fall public supper and our VIM scholarship fund. We will be leaving on Sunday, June 9th

and returning on Saturday, June 15th. This trip is multi-generational, meaning it

is open to anyone 13 and older! We LOVE the idea of seeing youth and adults working side-by-side, and we will conscientious of safety and security by making sure a sufficient number of adults have clearances and “Safe

Sanctuaries” training. Anyone wishing to go, or wanting more information, is asked to speak with PB.
