1‐ Bridge Server • Is the only dedicated server required in the solution. It functions as a license server and a central print management server, it also will host the virtual print jobs when using the VPQ 2‐ Print Server • This is typically a windows print server, our software will install on top of existing Microsoft print servers and will collect all the printers, allowing them to be accessed by UniPrint 3‐ Application Server • This is also known as the UniPrint agent, it is the universal driver engine which allows us to convert print jobs to PDF in the background, it provides the location‐based printing services and virtual print queue. Install anywhere application run. 4‐ UniPrint Client • Install the UniPrint client on any Windows or Mac OSX endpoints that you would like to use for Server/Client printing.Windows Server

Print Stream Compression
Perfect for environments where a remote site print server or a server/client setup is not possible. Print jobs are processed by a print server in the Datacenter and the outputted spool data compressed by the “UniPrint™ transport port monitor” installed as a printer port on the print server. The compressed spool data is then sent to the remote site where a vPad device is used to decompress the data and route to an end point printer. One vPad can be setup for a unlimited number of printers and can handle 5 simultaneous incoming jobs New in version 9 a vPad can have configured for HA by allow an additional UniPrint server connection for use in event of primary connection failure.PrintPAL allows administrators to automatically assign printers to user sessions based on certain criteria: • AD Users, Groups, OUs membership • Connected device IP address • Connected device Hostname • This ensures users always have the correct mapped printer for their location
PrintPAL
Printer Profiles
Allows administrators to create “Profiles” for individual or groups printers on the Print Server. These profiles allow advance printer specific features to be utilized. • The UniPrint™ driver is able to emulate most basic printer functions such as… • Duplex • Collate • Paper Trays Printer Profiler maps advanced settings such as… • Stapling • Hole Punching • Stored JobsThe Challenge…..

Unintentional Breach Scenarios
A user prints a confidential document: By the time they get to the printer the document is gone. They accidentally sent it to the wrong printer Someone else saw it before the user collected it The printer they sent it to is offlineThink it won’t happen to you?
70%
of Organizations have had one or more
accidental data breach through printing.
Secure Pull Printing
Integrated security – option for users to send print jobs with a PIN number

Secure Printing with vPad
Save on printing costs by eliminating waste All print jobs sent to one single print queue - the VPQ No more mapping different print queues to different user
profiles
Print jobs released by vPad
Pull printing allows users to send their print jobs to a central holding server (VPQ)
- Intuitive device design for flexible deployment and
simplified administration
VPQ Connectors for MFPs
Enables seamless integration of VPQ technology with Xerox™ Extensible Interface Platform (EIP), as well as Samsung, HP, Brother multifunction printers (MFPs). Secure pull printing from existing MFP panels Reduces the need for additional hardwareIntentional Breach Scenarios
How can an employee bypass your companies IT security and
remove confidential data from the network?
They print it and walked out
the front gate.
Reporting and Archiving
Reporting and Archiving modules allow print data statistics to be collected into a database and actual PDF copies of print jobs to be archived on to the file system. Create reports for printing trends across your network for better planning of hardware allocation Use the data for charging users/departments on how much they print Increase security by keeping track of what’s being printed and by whomIn today’s fast moving global business environment, a print service outage is at the very least an inconvenience resulting in a loss of staff productivity. In areas such as healthcare
however it could much more serious and even detrimental to the provision of patient care.
To ensure maximum up time UniPrint Infinity's High
Availability (HA) module eliminates single points of failure in the printing system safeguarding your critical systems. With the additional capability of load balancing you can also be ensured that even in the largest enterprise environments
High Availability
Redundancy for licensing – multiple license servers protects against license server failure. Redundancy for Bridge server – protects against Bridge server UniPrint™ service
failure. Printers automatically route via secondary bridge in case of failure. Redundancy for Print servers – protects against Print server failure – print jobs automatically routed to secondary print server in case of failure.
