Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) Grant in the amount of $19,350. Police

This grant money would be used to partially fund the purchase of ballistic vests for law enforcement officers to increase officer safety.

4. Approval for the Mayor and/or City Administrator to sign a revised Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Roswell and the Friends of Mimosa Hall & Gardens.

Recreation and Parks

 1.7. Any and all loan agreements for on-site exhibits or installations, must be approved and or signed by City as property owner.

 2.10. FOMHG will establish an event calendar of Activities based on the preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration of the Site and values of FOMHG as agreed upon at the sole discretion of the city. by the City during planning,

2.10.1. FOMHG may request events up to twenty-four months in advance. The City makes no calendar reservation guarantee of requests under eighteen months. The City makes no guarantee of Activities approval without minimal scheduled planning of at least six months.

3. Recognition of American Public Works Association (APWA) Re-Accreditation to the City of Roswell Department of Transportation.

The APWA Accreditation program recognizes public works agencies that go beyond the requirements of the management practices established nationally in the public works industry. RDOT is one of only five APWA accredited agencies in the state of Georgia. RESULT: RECOGNIZED

4. Reading of Proclamation for Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Parks & Facilities Staff Week 2021.

Mayor Henry read a proclamation for Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Parks & Facilities Week which is May 24-30, 2021. The week is a celebration of the employees of the Parks & Facilities maintenance staff.

5. Approval of the FY 2022 Budget for the City of Roswell, Georgia in the

amount of $150,086,435. (Second Reading)

9. Add (2) Natural Resource and Trail Maintenance Crew Worker Positions at 92.8% Funding in the amount of $104,387.

10. Add (1) Natural Resource and Trail Maintenance Crew Supervisor at 100% Funding including F550 and Work Utility Vehicle (Operating) in the amount of $96,197.

Operating Deletes

12. Delete Employee Salary Increase (Average of 3%) Starting January 1, 2021 in the amount of $643,431.

13. Delete (1) new Leased Vehicle for Engineering Division (unless Zero Based Budget for all cars is performed) in the amount of $8,089.

14. Reduce City Administrator Expense in the amount of $108,833. It was a 3:3 tie and the Mayor broke the tie in favor of the motion. RESULT: MOTION TO DENY [4 TO 3]

15. Reduce Travel Expenses (excluding public safety) in the amount of $80,000. It was a 3:3 tie and the Mayor broke the tie in favor of the motion.

16. Reduce Education Expenses (excluding public safety) in the amount of $113,000.

17. Reduce Supplies in the amount of $35,000.

18. Remove National League of Cities Membership Dues in the amount of $7,000. It was a 3:3 tie and the Mayor broke the tie in favor of the motion.

Maintenance Capital Additions

19. Add to the Tactical Vest and Helmet Replacement Program in the amount of 30,000.

6. Approval of a Road Closure of Canton Street from Magnolia to Norcross Street for Alive After 5:15 (Private Organizer) on June 17, 2021.

This was approved to close Canton Street from Magnolia to Norcross Street from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to then be assessed by the Roswell Police Department. RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]

7. Approval of an Ordinance to Authorize Fulton County to Conduct an Election on November 2, 2021 and Runoff, if Necessary on November 30, 2021 in an Amount Not to Exceed $373,617 and Budget Amendment 10013300-05-24-21 in the amount of $37,005. (First Reading)
