WELCOME NEWCOMERS

Katy Ingvalson ... [email protected] / 624-4524 Kelly Robinson ... [email protected] / 698-8888 Please notify of any changes in residency on your street.

We want to make all newcomers feel welcome and to assist them in any way we can. The Annual July Ice Cream Social recognizes all new neighbors that have moved in to the neighborhood in the last year.

Please also advise Doris Schonhoff (629-1002) of serious illness or deaths so that we may be good neighbors and respond appropriately.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LIGHTING (Luminaires)

Committee: ... Lori Voges and Ann Watkins

The traditional luminaries are usually placed the Monday and Tuesday before Christmas.

White paper bags distributed to you by your street chairman are placed approximately 15 feet apart, down both sides of the streets between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM on these two nights. In case of rain or snow at 2:30 the day of the lighting, the lighting will not be carried out that evening.

Sand is provided by the Community Club to serve as an anchor to keep candles in place within the sacks and to keep the sacks from blowing over. Sand is usually placed at the pool parking area for residents to pick up. Inventive folks use bricks with holes as candleholders or votive candles set down in tuna cans filled with sand. Whatever works for you is great!

We appreciate all residents’ cooperation in carrying on this tradition. If you are unable to participate because of ill health or out-of-town plans, please notify your chairman at the time the bags are distributed so arrangements can be made for someone to light and tend your candles.

Maintenance will pick up all bags and candles the Wednesday after the lighting, unless you have picked them up to save.

On nights of lighting, no cars should be parked on the streets at all. Please note the open houses will be held on Monday night only.
