HPC COMPASS

HPC (Heel Pitch Compensated) solid state Compass Transducer represents a real advance in high-end racing compass transducers.

It combines accuracy and the ability to integrate with a wide range of navigational systems with a stylish, sophisticated and

compact structure that requires minimal space and maintenance. Its 6-axis configuration also incorporates heel and pitch that

is accurate to ± 1° at a maximum angle of 60˚ with an output rate that can be set to 10Hz, giving you exceptionally accurate

vital data, such as true wind angle, even when the boat is heeled over. A standard component of the Garmin-Nexus

multi-instrumentation systems, the HPC transducer is also available as a stand-alone unit for owners looking to upgrade their existing

systems. The entire instrument is the size of a small mobile phone and weighs just 40 grams. Available as an NMEA compatible

unit that works with all NMEA 0183 systems.

MRC BOX HP COMPENSATED

The MRC Box enables compensation for wind angle on rotating masts. It measures the angle and direction of mast rotation,

enabling the pilot to steer and the system to display true and apparent wind information, which is corrected to allow for mast

rotation. An electronic compass, such as the HPC, must also be fitted to any system using the MRC. The MRC weighs only 40

grams and both the unit and all direct connectors are waterproof.

CHIRP Sonar

CHIRP is the most sophisticated sonar technology available for use by the fishing and boating public. The word itself is an

acronym for Compressed High-Intensity Radiated Pulse.

The key to CHIRP sonar is the interpretation of the data retrieved. The better the data interpretation, the better the screen image.

Since the only feedback is from this 1 single frequency,

there is little information to work with, limiting the

clarity and resolution available with standard sonar.

Instead of sending just 1 single frequency, CHIRP

sends a continuous sweep of frequencies ranging from

low to high. CHIRP sonar technology then interprets

frequencies individually upon their return. Since this

continuous sweep of frequencies provides CHIRP with

a much wider range of information, CHIRP sonar is

able to create a much clearer, higher resolution image.
