Beijing has served as the capital of five dynasties over a period of 800 years. Today, visit Tiananmen Square, the second largest public square in the world, and the
Forbidden City, the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming to Qing dynasty. Continue on to the Temple of Heaven, one of the best examples of Ming Dynasty architecture and also an ornate sanctuary where Chinese emperors offered sacrifices to heaven and prayed for good harvest. Your welcome banquet includes the local delicacy, Peking Roast Duck.
Day 3: Beijing (B,L,D)
Today’s highlight is an excursion to the majestic Great Wall at Badaling Pass, the most famous image of China, and a chance to climb a portion of this 3,700-mile marvel. Visit one of the largest Jade Exhibitions in Asia en-route. After lunch, see skilled artisans at work at a Cloisonné Factory, and visit the Changling Exhibition Hall of the Ming Tombs, where thirteen of the sixteen Ming dynasty emperors are buried. Day 4: Beijing (B,L)
Tour the exquisite Summer Palace, the largest preserved ancient imperial garden in China. Day 5: Beijing - - Shanghai (B,L,D)
Experience the high-speed train to Shanghai - the modern metropolis and commercial centre of China. This morning we visit a Silk Spinning Mill and learn how silk is created from mulberry-munching silkworms to produce the finest thread and cloth. Then we walk along the famous Bund, a mile-long stretch along the Huangpu River. Lined by the colonial architectures of European design, this area is the best place to capture the western
influences of the old days. Continue to the Old Town which is a perfect combination of gardens, temples, old architecture, civil culture, business souvenirs and food.
Optional Tour: In the evening, you may join an optional “Night Cruise on the Huangpu River”. Day 6: Shanghai (B,L,D)
This morning visit Shanghai Museum to see ancient Chinese art, furniture and jade. Then we explore the Xintiandi Area, an affluent and fashionable pedestrian street composed of unique Shikumen (stone gate) and modern architecture style. Our farewell dinner this evening will be a banquet of delicious Shanghai cuisine.

Day 7: Shanghai - - Hanoi (B)
You are free at leisure this morning. It is recommended to visit Shanghai Zoo, to see one of China's national tresures - the Giant Pandas. Later you will be transferred to Shanghai Airport this afternoon to board your flight to Hanoi.
On arrival into Hanoi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of evening is at your leisure. We recommend you to take a slow walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, which is very scenic, so remember to bring your camera. Should you wish to taste famous
Vietnamese coffee, you will find many coffee shops in French style with a view to the lake. Day 8: Hanoi (B,L)
After breakfast, you will be picked up for city tour at around 08:00 - 08:30 am. We first head to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, a 1400 year-old temple, the oldest in the city and is located near West Lake offering a watery landscape, the pagoda is a very scenic attraction. The next destination is the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you have chance to visit President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Uncle Ho's House and the One-pillar pagoda – a very iconic temple in Vietnam. Temple of Literature will be your next stop, here education and study is centre point. After lunch, we will explore Ngoc Son Temple (Temple of Jade Mountain) dedicated to Confucian and Taoist philosophers and the national hero Tran Hung Dao. The temple with its famous Huc bridge is in the centre of Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake. The evening is at leisure.
Day 9: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B,L,D)
Today we head for Halong Bay! On the way we stop at a handicraft workshop for a short break. Enjoy the journey through the Red River Delta with lush rice fields, water buffalos and everyday Vietnamese rural life. After we arrive in Halong, we will check-in for our overnight cruise and relax for a while. Then we lift anchor and sail to visit Sung Sot caves where we have one hour for kayaking between the limestone spires. Afterwards we set sail the explore this UNESCO Heritage region. As the sun sets over the bay, dinner is served on board with a huge selection of fresh seafood, salads, and fruits. There will also be a cooking class on board, where you can learn to cook some basic Vietnamese dishes or simply watch the sun slip away with a cool drink on the deck.
Day 10: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B,L)

Breakfast will be served on the boat after which you’ll have more time to enjoy the view before a wholesome brunch as your boat weaves through the magnificent limestone karst formations on your return towards Halong City. Upon disembarkation, we will head back to Hanoi with a stop at a local workshop in Hai Duong province for a lunch break. Once we arrive in Hanoi the rest of the evening is at leisure.
Day 11 Hanoi - - Hoi An (B)
You will have free time this morning until your airport transfer for your flight to Hoi An. On arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel with the evening at leisure to explore Hoi An.
Day 12: Hoi An (B,L)
Today we will visit the Temple Kwan, Phuc Kien Temple, Tan Ky Ancient House, Phung Hung house, Japanese Bridge. The former port city’s melting-pot history is reflected in its architecture, a mix of eras and styles from wooden Chinese shophouses and temples to col-orful French colonial buildings. Today is the ideal way to learn a great deal about its histo-ry and fascinating stories. After lunch at a local restaurant we will head back to the hotel for an afternoon of relaxation to further time to explore Hoi An.
Day 13: Hoi An - - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
After breakfast, we leave Hoi An for Da Nang airport to fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel. Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is Vietnam at its most dizzying: a high-octane city of commerce and culture that has driven the whole coun-try forward with its pulsating energy. A chaotic whirl, the city breathes life and vitality into all who settle here – visitors cannot help but be hauled along for the ride. The evening is at your leisure.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City (B,L)

Afterwards, enjoy tea and cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Be-fore finishing the tour, you can watch a short (15 minutes) documentary about the tunnel before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 15: Ho Chi Minh City - Phnom Penh (B,D)
Today we take a bus to Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh (4 hours). On arrival to Phnom Penh, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, discover the Phnom City including: Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), the National Museum built in 1917-18 is exclusively dedicated to Khmer arts. We visit the picture perfect Royal Palace built in 1866 followed by the Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound. Af-ter we head for Wat Phnom, an ancient pagoda standing tall on a leafy hill. Tonight we en-joy a dinner at Bopha Phnom Penh Restaurant before returning to the hotel.
Day 16: Phnom Penh (B)
Today is a free day to explore Phnom Penh! Why not stroll the riverside or satisfy your shopping needs in the many markets and bazaar’s.
Day 17: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap (B)
After breakfast we join a coach to Siem Reap (5 hours), stopping along the way. We arrive into Siem Reap early in the afternoon. After checking in to the hotel you have free time to get to know this friendly town. Why not head to the central market or the aptly named ‘Pub Street’ for a relaxing drink.
Day 18: Siem Reap (B,L)
Today is the day many have been waiting for, Angkor Wat! We head off in the morning to visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. The temple com-plex, cover 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its dis-tinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century master-piece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks, the enclosed wall rep-resents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean. Continue your visit to the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century); See the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 tow-ers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phime-anakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. We then head back to the hotel for an evening at leisure.
Day 19: Siem Reap - - Australia (B)
This morning you will have free time to wander Siem Reap one last time before being transferred to the airport for your overnight flight back to Australia.
