The John Molson MBA International Case Competition has become a benchmark of excellence for the brightest students from top business schools from Canada and around the globe.
Each year an organizing committee consisting of four MBA students from the John Molson School of Business (JMSB) works relentlessly to organize the biggest case competition in the world, and to create an extraordinary and memorable event for every participant, including MBA students, coaches, sponsors and volunteers. This daunting task could not be achieved without the support of our faculty members, Board of Directors and sponsors.
As organizers of the 2015 edition, we are excited for the challenges that lay ahead. We want to take the International Case Competition to the next level. To achieve this task, we need the solid support of Executive Assistants.

Executive Assistant - Judges
Job Descr i pti o nSupport the Judges’ Organizer in recruiting, registering and communicating with over 250 judges. Work with the Judges’ Organizer to schedule judges during the week of the competition. Judges’ EA will also work closely with the Organizing team on judge related events and warrant a memorable experience for our judges.

Assisting in scheduling and managing the availability of judges. Updating the judge database as they confirm their availability. Monitoring attendance.
Helping organize judge related events (orientation sessions, cocktails, etc.). Working closely with volunteer executive to recruit qualified “judge coordinator” volunteers.
Being available to help judges with online registration.
Req ui r eme nts
Excellent communication skills in both English and French (oral and written). Detail-oriented with the ability to handle several projects at once.
Ability to work under high pressure.
Experience in customer service or relationship management is an asset.
I got the opportunity to test my networking, communication and organizational skills. Being faced with the challenge to recruit, engage and connect with over 250 CEOs and high level executives was quite the adventure that required a great degree of efficiency and creative relationship-building strategies. Executive Assistant - Marketing
Job Descr i pti o nThis position is designed to provide support for the Marketing Organizer in order to increase brand value and awareness, secure media attention of the Competition and facilitate communications with stakeholders. The Marketing Executive will also be responsible for managing a team of lead volunteers during the week of the Competition to execute specific tasks.

Assisting the Marketing Organizer in coordinating with other stakeholders for the creation of brochures.
Assisting Marketing Organizer in developing the Welcome Package. Aiding in the creation and execution of press releases.
Managing the competition’s social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram).
Designing and implementing communication materials. Manage lead marketers before and during the competition.
Req ui r eme nts
Excellent communication skills in both English and French (oral and written). Proficiency with Social Media Tools: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.
Proficiency with Design Tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Ability to work under high pressure.

Executive Assistant - Sustainability
Job Descr i pti o nSupport the Organizers and Executives of the 2015 John Molson MBA International Case Competition to hold the most sustainable case competition to date. Responsible for analyzing and executing sustainable initiatives. The Sustainability EA will also be heavily involved with the event planning and sustainable event management.

Analyzing all aspects of the Competition from a sustainability perspective to ensure low ecological footprint.
Working closely with volunteers’ executive for sustainability aspect of the hospitality suite.
Communicating the competitions’ green commitments to the hotel.
Working with the Events Organizer to ensure the most sustainable events possible.
Contacting green businesses for sponsorships and collaborations.
Contributing to diverse aspects of the Competition that are not exclusive to sustainability.

The MBA ICC provides an unparalleled opportunity for MBA students to work on their business skills in a real life environment. Executive Assistant – Volunteers
Job Descr I pti o nSupports the Volunteers’ Organizer in recruiting, communicating, instructing and managing volunteers. Assure all necessary volunteer positions are filled by identifying capable and cooperative individuals, and actively managing their schedule and availability. Works closely with the Logistics and Events Eas in planning for the week of the Competition and for events for the volunteers.

Creating a volunteers’ recruitment plan. Advertising volunteering opportunities.
Working with the logistics committee to ensure manpower requirements. Recruiting over 300 volunteers.
Scheduling and managing the availability of volunteers. Monitoring and ensuring attendance of volunteers.
Instructing and leading volunteers during the competition. Helping organize a thank-you event.

Executive Assistant - Logistics
Job Descr i pti o nSupport the Logistics Organizer in planning and executing all logistical tasks related to the competition. Identify manpower requirements and ensure streamlined control room operations. Work closely with the Organizers and Executive Assistants to have a global understanding of the status of the Competition.

Ensuring logistics files meet the needs of the Competition.
Defining the needs and setting the standards to conduct a well-coordinated event. Assisting in setting up and running the Competition.

Leading daily group meetings during the week of the Competition with Lead Volunteers.
Ensuring efficient communications with the hotel, and all service providers.
