Diary of a foodie

This year I embarked on my first luxury

holiday experience with Celebrity Cruises.

The most fabulous thing about this holiday

was that I didn’t have to think at all. I woke

each day to choices and options. The most

difficult decisions I made were what time

I would wake, what gorgeous restaurant

I would dine in or which bar to grab a drink.

To discover that next to everything is made

from scratch onboard was impressive.

Passionate not only about food but quality

produce, the culinary team have an evident

fervour for what they do. Holding the

highest rated culinary program on the

open water, Celebrity Cruises showcased

what I would readily regard as ‘Hatted’

quality food. Sure this was my first cruising

experience, but with Celebrity Cruises it

certainly won't be my last.

Your cruise checklist

Before

you cruise

After booking your cruise, you’ve just a few things left to do. To secure

your first choice of shore excursions or a table in a speciality restaurant,

it’s essential to book early. Why not also add one of our convenient

beverage or speciality dining packages, even a gift – those little extras

that make your holiday even more special.

1. Provide your passport details

Before you travel, you’ll need to provide

passport or license (for domestic cruises)

details for yourself and anyone travelling

with you. We’ll need the following details

for everyone in your party:

• Passport/license number

• Country of issue

• Passport/license expiry date

• Full name

(as it appears on the passport, including middle name)

• Gender

• Date of birth

• Nationality

2. Check-in online

To speed up the boarding process, we

strongly recommend you check-in for your

cruise online. You can do this anytime,

from the day you book until three days

before departure, although we advise you

do it as soon as possible after booking.

You should allow about 15–20 minutes for

the entire process, and you’ll need your

passport details on hand. The Frequently

Asked Questions (FAQ) section on

our website includes a help guide for

online check-in.

3. Book shore excursions

Shore excursions are a great way to explore

our fascinating ports of call, or try out new

activities. They do fill up fast though, so

we recommend you book early to avoid

missing out. When you log in to Manage

My Booking, you’ll find plenty of useful

information about the ports you’ll be

visiting and the excursions on offer.

Shore excursions are usually available for

booking from five months before your

cruise. Once within 5 days of sailing, you will

only be able to book onboard, so we suggest

pre-booking in order to confirm the tours

you want to do.

4. Reserve any extras

If you’re celebrating a special occasion

onboard, or just fancy a treat, you’ll be

spoilt for choice. How about surprising

someone with stateroom decorations, or a

bouquet of flowers? Why not book a meal

for two in one of our speciality restaurants?

You can book all kinds of gifts, beverage

packages, speciality dining and much more

via the Manage My Booking section on our

website. Cruise add-ons can go quickly, so

to avoid disappointment we strongly advise

you purchase yours as soon as possible.

5. Print your cruise documents

Bring your signed Xpress Pass to board the

ship. Print off your Guest Ticket Booklet

(e-doc), which contains all your booking

details and any hotel/transfer vouchers

and flight information that you have booked

with us. The e-doc is available to print when

your final balance has been cleared* (at the

earliest before sailing: 35 days for fly/cruise

guests and 45 days for cruise only guests).

Online check-in must be completed before

you can print your Xpress Pass.

* For fly/cruise guests this may not clear until 30 days

before sailing.

Beverage Packages

Make your holiday even easier by

purchasing an alcoholic or non-alcoholic

beverage package. Enjoy endless refills

of soft drinks, bottled water, wine, spirits,

coffees, beers and more.

Speciality Dining Packages

With savings of up to 29%, our speciality

restaurant packages make it easy for you

to experience some or all of our innovative

and award-winning restaurants.
