2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
“Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, ‘What are you looking for?’” - John 1:38
What are you looking for? Are you wasting your time looking for the material comforts of the world? Or, is your heart longing for something deeper that can only be found by spending time with God? Take time, each day, in silence and ask the Lord what it is that He wants you to do.

PARISH PRAYER BOOK OF INTENTIONS
In our Parish Prayer Book, we pray for the sick, needy, struggling, suffering, etc. Every intention in our hearts! No intention is too big or too small for prayer!
St. Paul reminds us:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7

NJ Catholic Bishops Issue Call for Prayer & Fasting to End Abortion
"We, the Catholic Bishops of New Jersey, ask Catholics and people of good will to join us on Friday, January 22,
2021, the 48th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, in a Day of
Prayer and Fasting to end abortion. "As we mark this tragic event in our nation’s history, we remember the millions of lives lost to abortion and pray for the mothers and fathers left to suffer the tragic effects. "The Catholic Church is committed to protecting all life from conception to natural death. We will work vigorously to ensure the laws of our state and country protect and defend the intrinsic dignity of all people. "We humbly implore our Blessed Mother under her title of Our Lady of
Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas and Protectress of the Unborn, to intercede on our behalf that these efforts to end abortion are guided by mercy, compassion, and above all charity."
Please consider joining us for the Annual Diocesan

Quarterly Report for July 1, 2020 to December 31,
2020
This quarterly report presents the fiscal year-to-date expenses vs. the same period last year. Please note expenses can vary due to seasonal fluctuations. In addition, there can be timing delays in reporting parish income and expenses. If you have any questions on this report, please feel free to reach out to njfinn@blessedsacramentnj.org
Revenue and Expense Overview
There is good news to report for the July1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 financial results. The net operating income (revenue over expense) for the period was $33,556. This is an improvement over last year's $2,868 for the same period. This
improvement is a result of healthy collections during the month of December offset by a reduction in personnel, utility, and liturgy & worship expenses. The 18.6% increase in contract services over the same period last year is due to parish COVID-19 cleaning and snow removal expenses. The parish Christmas collection was 89% of last years collection and the weekly average collections continue to improve. We are most grateful for your generosity and sacrificial giving.
