Important Note: Information regarding acceptance of entries and competition timings will be sent to competitors via email. General updates of the event and class schedules will be available on the day itself on notice boards, which will be periodically updated during the competition. .1 Welfare of the competition horses must take precedence over all other demands at all stages during the preparation and training. This includes good horse management, training methods, tack and transportation.

.2 Horses and riders must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to compete.

.3 Every effort must be made to ensure that horses received proper attention before, during and after competition.

7 GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Entry Forms: Official forms are attached in each section of class details, Entries must be submitted using the official form provided. Any other forms of entry will not be entertained.

Forms Submission: Please complete the following forms for submission.

Entry/ Stabling Fees: Please refer to the competition schedule. Entry fees and stabling fees must be paid in full together with the entry forms by the closing date. Failure to submit all relevant fees with the forms may results in the disallowance of competitors from the competition.

Late Entry Fees: Fees and entries submitted after the closing date and/or on the competition date itself will result in an additional 50% of the stated entry fees. All forms would still have to be completely filled out and submitted as well.

Payment Modes: Payment modes by Cash, Nets, Visa, Mastercard and cheques are accepted at our STCRC Reception Counter.

Cheque payments to be made payable to Singapore Turf Club.

Veterinary/ Medical

Scratching: Entries cancelled after the closing date on 07 April 2013, Sunday, 2.00pm must be verified with a veterinary medical certificate for a 50% refund of the relevant fees provided that the cancellation is done before the commencement of the competition. No refunds will be administered for any cancellations on the competition date itself.

Horse Arrival and

Departure: Horses will be allowed into the stables from the competition date itself on 14 April 2013, Sunday, 8.00am onwards, and will have to leave the premise by the same date before 8.00pm.

Horse Passport: A duplicate copy of the horse passports must be submitted together with the entry forms. The original passport must also be made available for inspection upon entry into STCRC premise.

Vaccination Certificates: A duplicate copy of the vaccination certificates must be submitted together with the entry forms.

Vaccination Types: It is MANDATORY for competing horses to be vaccinated and immunized against the following:

.1 Equine Influenza (EI)

.2 Japanese B Encephalitis (Jap B)

Medical Records: The medical records must indicate proper clearance. Once found any conditions are not compiled with, the horse will be denied entry into the premise and competition.

Insurance: All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third persons caused by themselves, their employees, agents and horses. They are therefore strongly advised to take out third party insurance providing full coverage for participation in Equestrian events and to keep their policies up to date.

The Organizer’s Rights: The organizer reserves the rights to: .1 Alter advertise competition timings .2 Cancel any classes or events .3 Refuse any entries

.4 Divide any classes

.5 Change and/or amend the competition details including prizes

.6 Increase and/or decrease the height of the fences

depending on the entries

.7 Charge any participating Clubs the cost of damages if found at fault

9 RULES AND REGULATIONS

Competition Rules: Tests will be judged in sections if numbers demand (above 30 riders). All sections of these classes will be judged in the same arena with the same or different judges. Competition will be divided into relative sections for awarding prizes.

Horses may only be entered in two (2) consecutive standards. eg: Introductory and Preliminary, Preliminary and Novice, or Novice and Elementary.

Sharing of horses is NOT allowed for any tests.

Where horse tacks are concerned, martingales, bandages, boots, blinkers, tongue straps and bearing, side or running reins are NOT permitted.

Standard dress code for dressage competitors as follows: .1 Riding hat to the current safety standards

.2 Short or long riding boots with a strong heel .3 Light coloured gloves

.4 Cream, beige or white jodhpurs/ breeches .5 White shirt with correctly tied tie/ stock

.6 Long sleeved white shirt is a must if rider is not wearing dark coloured coat/ jacket over it.

Please note that the competition shall generally be run under British Dressage rules. All instructions from officials are to be followed without dispute or delay; otherwise the competitor is liable to disqualification.

Prize-Giving Ceremony: Prize giving to be taken place immediately, near the Reception Counter area after the end of each class. Competitors not attending the prize giving without notifying the organizers in advance may be asked to forfeit their placing and prizes.

10 RULES AND REGULATIONS (continued)

Appeals: Appeals against any judging decisions, placing or events impacting the results or any class must be lodged with the Show Director in writing within 30 minutes of the official announcement of the result. All appeals must be accompanied by a deposit of $50 which will be returned in the event the appeal is upheld.

The appeal committee will review all appeals and announce its decisions as soon as possible pending the time taken to gather and review evidence. The decision of the appeals committee is final.

11 STABLES AND FACILITIES

Grooms/ Syces: Each Club and/or competitor will have to supply for its own grooms or syces for this competition. They must be made aware of the general rules and regulations of the competition.

Horse-Walks: Horses walking to their warm-up and/or competing grounds must use the designated routes only. There will be adequate signage and directions provided. Horses will not be allowed to walk or exercise on any other non-designated areas.

Stables: Visiting horses will be housed in temporary stabling facilities at STCRC premise. Vehicles are prohibited from entering the stables module/area. Loading and unloading should be done outside the stables module.

Horse Floats: Return trips (To STCRC and from STCRC) are provided for, free of charge by Singapore Turf Club. Visiting clubs must submit all relevant entry, declaration and security forms before the closing date on 07 April 2013, Sunday, 2.00pm. Incomplete submissions and/or missing information in any of the forms will not guarantee float services for the horses.

Washing of Horses: Washing down of horses should be done at the designated areas only.

Disposal of Waste: Disposal bins will be adequately provided. At the end of the competition, all stables must be cleaned of all waste and left over feed. STC reserves the rights to charge any participating clubs the additional cost of cleaning the stables.

Failure to comply with any of the above will result in competitors and/or clubs being charged for the repairs to the stables area and/or its surrounding areas.

14 .2 GENERAL RELEASE FOR LIABILITY AND WAIVER AND

ACKNOWLEDGE OF RULES AND REGULATION FORM

Please read all portions carefully before signing. Please note that this form must be endorsed before entry can be accepted.

In consideration for the Singapore Turf Club Riding Centre Inter-Club Dressage Competition Organizing Committee granting me permission to participate in the Shiloh Animal Express Inter-Club Dressage Competition event (the Competition) on 14 April 2013, Sunday, I agree:

i) That prior to participating in any event, I will inspect the facilities and equipment to be used by me during that event;

ii) That I understand I may be engaging in activities that involve risk of serious injury, including permanent disability and deaths, and sever social and economic losses which might results from my actions or inactions, but also from the intentional or negligent acts of others, from the rules of competition and this application, from the condition of the premises and//or equipment, and from other causes now unknown or not reasonably foreseeable; and

iii) To fully release, discharge and hold harmless the organizer and its respective members, directors, agents, employees, associate, staff and independent contractors from any and all claims, actions, liabilities and causes of action which I may now have or which may occur as a result of or incidental to my voluntary participation in any of the sporting or non-sporting activities incidental to or in connection with the competition.

iii) To refrain from unsportsmanlike like conduct or any conduct bringing discredit upon the competition including without limitation physically or verbally assaulting or abusing any official, competitor, spectator, volunteer or any person involved in the management of the competition and that any such conduct may meet with expulsion from the competition and appropriate criminal or civil action against me; and

iv) To be filmed, photographed or interviewed as a participant in the competition when requested to do so by any officer or official of the organizer.

I acknowledge that I execute the above freely and voluntary and do not reply on any inducements, promises or representations made by the aforementioned organizer or individuals involved in the competition, or any person associated in any way with the competition.
