Since its inception 25 years ago, The Creative Guild of the Philippines Award competition has been committed to

raising the standards of creativity in the country. It first launched the Ads of the Month and the Ads of the Year

for Television, Print and Radio back in 1987. Renamed KIDLAT in 2008, it continued to celebrate local creativity

using a format employed by most international award shows, namely determining winners per medium.

This year, things change, as KIDLAT becomes the first advertising award show that judges work according to the

product category it is in, regardless of the medium used. By doing so, KIDLAT seeks to mirror the market place

and determine which brands triumph with their breakthrough ideas. Under the main product categories,

participants can choose from either:

RULES & ELIGIBILITY

KIDLAT is open to all 4As and non 4As member agencies based in the Philippines. This includes creative agencies, production houses, media, PR, and design shops.

1.

All entries should have prior permission of the client/owner of the rights of the work. (see requirement)

2.

Entries are subject to pre-screening. The organizers have the right to refuse entries which can offend national or religious sentiment, public taste or which breach any applicable laws or ASC rules. Only the Kidlat Creative Committee can re-classify entries if deemed necessary.

3.

Only entries made by Philippine-based agencies, production houses, media, PR and design shops that have first aired, gone live, been posted online, or made available for public download between January 1, 2015 and January 29, 2016 are qualified for the 2015 Kidlat Awards. Private screenings or previews are not eligible.

4.

Work entered in previous Kidlat shows are not qualified even if its implementation date falls within the dates of eligibility.

5.

Work can only be entered once EXCEPT in the case of corporate image ads, which may be entered in its product category and in the Corporate Image category.

6.

All entries must have been created within the context of a normal paying contract with a client who has covered all media and production costs, except in the case of self-promotion and non-profit ads.

7.

The organizers may contact the client related to any entry at the request of the jury at any time during the voting process should any questions about the implementation or presentation of the work arise.

8.

To be eligible, a piece of work must be accompanied by a fully accomplished entry form, complete supporting documents, material requirements and payment, and must be submitted by the final entry deadline. Please refer to the requirements chart.

Awarded to entries that exemplify the best of their medium or pushed the medium forward. Only entries that have been awarded Gold in the Category judging are eligible for Best In Medium.

PREPARING YOUR ENTRIES

5. Supply English translations when necessary. Translations for videobased entries must be included as subtitles.

For image-based entries like print, include translation along the margins of your entry jpeg. For audio entries like

radio, include 1 word document per submission with your scripts in both its original language and English.

6. Submit the necessary supporting documents i.e. tear sheet, ASC clearance, client endorsement letter,
