The College offers two programs within this area, which are both consistently waitlisted. The DSW program prepares individuals to support those with developmental disabilities. The College was one of the first in the Province to offer CICE, promoting access and academic success for those with a significant learning challenges.

Both programs, offered by the College, are highly competitive. The Paramedic program is accredited by the Canadian Medical Association, which allows for national portability of the credential as well as recognition of the program by the Canadian Forces. The CDA program is recognized by the Communicative Disorders Assistant Association.

Consistent with the social services sector, the College has extensive community agency partnerships and linkages that ensure students receive an enriching field placement experience aligned with a the strong theoretical foundation. This program is also very popular and typically waitlisted.

Sarnia-Lambton is becoming a major hub of bio-based

industrial process companies. Several

companies have already initiated research or

production operations in the area. In response,

the College has developed the Bioindustrial

Technology Ontario College Advanced Diploma.

This new unique

credential will provide students with the skills

and knowledge required for the operation of

bioindustrial processes.

With a strong foundation as a provider of

quality paramedic education, the College will

offer primary care paramedics the opportunity

to advance to this expanded role. This offering

is consistent with the College's focus on

advancing the range of post-entry to practice

development offerings.

Construction of the proposed Lambton College

Centre for Health Education and Sustainable

Care will significantly cnotribute to the learning

experience for students in both current and

proposed programs.

Following extensive consultation with

employers and other community stakeholders,

the College will offer a credential to upskill

working community services and health agency

professionals in the area of mental health.

Based on community feedback, the College is

confident that there is significant demand for

such a credential.

Responding to the learning needs of the

aboriginal community, this entry level program

will provide the necessary preparation for

individuals to pursue a post-secondary program

in the area of public safety.

As the result of consultation with public safety

employers, the College has created the the

Public Safety diploma program to replace the

dated Protection, Security and Investigtion

program. This new program incorporates

advances in the sector and is aligned with

employer interest.

Designed for those with a background in Public

Safety, this program prepares the graduate to

practice advanced investigation techniques

which incorporate the use of analytics.

This stream of the Intelligence and Analytics

Grad Certificate shares some curriculum, with a

focus on analytics from a corporate security

and marketing perspective.
