Leisure Courses:

No matter your interest or passion, our

leisure courses offer you the chance to

try something new or to delve deeper

into your favourite hobby. Join and meet

like-minded people who share the same

interests as you and turn that passion in

to a career.

Write that book you’ve always dreamed

of with a creative writing course or snap

away in a photography based course.

Developing your skills can open up a

world of new opportunities. There’s no

better time to make that change you’ve

always wanted.

Just see where it can take you…

Retrain, gain new skills and

take your hobbies further

Advanced Learning

Loans

for Aged 24+

www

.hr

c.ac.uk

Adv

anc

ed Learning Loans f

or Aged 24+

From the Skills Funding Agency and

the Student Loans Company.

Start your course at HRC with the help of a 24+

Advanced Learning Loan.

They say you can’t put a price on a good education yet

course fees stop many people studying part-time every

year.

If you’re aged 24 or over, you can now apply for a 24+

Advanced Learning Loan to help towards the cost of your

course, starting on or after 1st August, 2014.

Loans are available for most of our Level 3 and 4

courses, including advanced apprenticeships, and do

not have to be paid back until you start earning at least

£21,000 per year from April 2016:

ǩ

No upfront course, registration or exam fees to pay.

ǩ

Start repayments only when you’re earning £21,000

or above.

ǩ

Low-interest repayments at inflation plus up to 3%.

ǩ

Outstanding loan balance written off after 30 years.

ǩ

No credit check or income assessment.

What’s changed?

You may not have realised before, but the government

used to fund 50 percent of course costs for adult

learners at Level 3 and above. From August 2013, the

government withdrew this funding meaning that you,

the student, are now responsible for covering the full

cost of your course yourself. 24+ Advanced Learning

Loans have been introduced to help with payments

and are offered by the Skills Funding Agency and

the Student Loans Company. For more details about

24+ Advanced Learning Loans, pick up one of our

information packs at either campus or download a copy

online now.

Making your own decision

It is important that you make your own decision about

financing your course based on your own personal

circumstances. We cannot give you financial advice

but we do advise you to look into all available options

before choosing to take out a loan. Please contact the

Money Advice Service for independent financial advice at

www.moneyadviceservice.co.uk

may also be eligible for the 24+ Bursary to help with

childcare. Email us on

Depending on the course selected you can enrol/book
