ASSATEAGUE ISLAND
Famous for its herd of wild ponies, sika deer and
numerous waterfowl, Assateague Island is an

How did Berlin become the “Coolest Small Town in
America?” We believe it’s because of its farmers markets,
antique shops, fashion boutiques, art galleries, delectable

SNOW HILL
Rich in history, Snow Hill was once a Royal Port of
Entry. Experience life in pre-colonial days at Furnace
Town or visit Purnell Museum to see artifacts from

PREMIUM COTTAGES
Feel right at home in a comfortable Premium
Cottage. Each cottage has two bedrooms to
sleep up to six people, is pet-friendly and comes
equipped with a full kitchen with appliance and
utensils, full bath, furnished living room, full-size
sleeper sofa, cable TV, Wi-Fi, AC/heat, fire ring,
picnic table, grill and is located close to a laundry
facility. Wheelchair accessible cottages feature
one bedroom and sleep up to four people. We ask
that guests bring their own bed linens, towels
and pillows. Mattress pads are included.
RV & TENT SITES
Our RV and Tent Sites are perfect for up to six
people. Each site can house one main camping
unit and come with full hook-ups and a variety
of amenities in different locations throughout
our resort.*

Head to the Pavilion for some

Our gated waterfront community offers
exclusive amenities including a pool,
bathhouse, laundry, boat ramp and fishing pier.
ISLAND OASIS
Perfectly located near everything, Island Oasis
keeps you close to the beach, playground and
Jackspot Tiki Bar. This area is prone to higher
traffic until resort quiet hours.
MARINA DECK
Stay near our main amenities like our splash
pad, hot tub spot, pool and poolside bar. This
area includes upscale pull-through and back-in
RV sites with a paved vehicle pad, fire ring and
picnic table.
MAIN DECK
The Main Deck plays host to the majority of our
RV and tent sites. Each includes full hook-ups
with 20/30/50 amp service, CATV, Wi-Fi, fire
ring and picnic table.
PARADISE COVE
Find a little peace and quiet in Paradise Cove.
It offers the solitude and privacy you seek.
A group fire pit is available by request.

amenities until 4pm. In an RV? We’ll assist
you in parking it in a designated area and

designated parking area is after check-out.
STORAGE & VALET SERVICE
Securely store your unit in our gated
storage area in between stays for $5 per
day, $100 per month or $1,000 for a full
year. Our professional Valet staff will even
transfer your unit between storage and
your site for a low fee of $25 each way.
We do not hook up to utilities. Services
must be paid for in advance, with at least
48-hour notice given.
SHUTTLE
Don’t worry about driving! Our free
Castaways Shuttle runs daily during peak
Summer, with stops at Assateague Island,*
Ocean City and the Frontier Town**
amusement park. Catch it at the Pavilion.
A parent/legal guardian must accompany
riders under the age of 14.
*To enter Assateauge Island, a Visitor’s Pass
must be purchased. The shuttle driver will
collect this fee upon boarding.

QUIET TIME
Our quiet time is from 11:00 PM–8:00 AM daily but please be courteous to the guests around you during all hours of the day.
GUESTS/VISITORS
Campers are responsible for their guest/visitors. They must register at the office and pay the guest/ visitor fee, which is $12 for adults age 18 and over and $8 for children age 11–17.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
Maryland and county regulations allow no more than six persons per RV/tent site or cottage.
LOCK SITE FEE
There is a $25 lock site fee if you request a particular site number, otherwise sites are not guaranteed.

WRISTBANDS
All registered guests and visitors MUST wear the wristbands that are provided at check-in. These wristbands will allow access to all amenities and activities that are going on throughout the resort.
PETS
All pets must wear a current valid license. Proof of rabies vaccination must be on your persons during your stay. There is a limit of three pets per site. Owners must clean up after their pets. All pets must be leashed at all times. Pets must not be left outside unattended.
SPEED LIMIT
The speed limit is 30mph on Eagles Nest Road and 5mph on all resort roads.
VEHICLES
One vehicle is included in the site fee. One extra vehicle may be parked on your site for an additional $5 per day. All vehicles must have a valid state license plate and a parking pass from the Welcome Center upon check-in. No beach
parking is allowed, except for golf carts. Towing is enforced. All motorized vehicles must have proof of insurance to be permitted on the property. Failure to provide proof of proper insurance will result in the prohibiting of use on Castaways property. All ATV/UTV and other large terrain vehicles are prohibited. The only four-wheeled vehicles permitted in our park are your car, truck, or adequately insured golf cart. All personal golf carts must be insured for coverage while on our site. All personal golf carts must obey park speed limits and rules or it will be banned. No exceptions.
STORAGE & VALET SERVICE
Reserving a storage spot MUST be done in person. Cannot reserve a storage spot prior to placing into storage. Subject to first come, first serve availability.
PROHIBITED RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
The following recreational vehicles are prohibited at Castaways RV Resort & Campground. Anything electric or gas-powered, ie. bike’s, scooters, hover boards, Segways, gators, mopeds, side by sides, one wheels, boost boards (electric skateboards), any battery-powered kid’s cars, trucks, jeeps, etc. If you have any questions about your recreational vehicles, please see Hospitality Hosts.
GOLF CART OPERATORS
Maryland law requires all motor vehicles, including golf carts, to be operated by a licensed driver. Proof of insurance coverage while at Castaways is required for all personal golf carts. Personal golf carts must be insured to $50,000. Golf Carts are prohibited from driving on Eagles Nest Road.
TRAILERS
After launching your water craft, the trailer must be returned to your site immediately. No exceptions.
BIKES
Maryland law requires that all persons operating a bicycle under age 16 must wear a helmet while biking. All bikes must be parked by dusk. None are allowed after dark.
CAMPFIRES
Maryland law requires campfires be attended at all times. Occasionally there is a state ban of fires. We will post and/or notify you at check-in should that occur.
FIRE RINGS & PICNIC TABLES
One of each is provided to marked sites. Please do not place trash, bottles or cans in fire rings!
SEWER HOOK-UP
Maryland law requires all sewer hoses to be undamaged and sewer connections to be tight. Replacement sewer hoses and sewer doughnuts can be purchased at our Camp Store.
TRASH OR OVERFLOW
Guests are responsible for taking their own trash to the dumpsters that are located throughout the park. There will be no trash pick-up on sites.
RECYCLABLES
Throughout our park you will see blue containers for aluminum cans. Please recycle your cans here to support the Worcester County Humane Society.
FIREWORKS
Maryland and county law both prohibit the use of fireworks at any time. Castaways has also banned the use of sparklers.
DRONES
Due to our proximity to the local airport and Castaways regulations, drones are not permitted to be used on property.
SMOKING
All buildings including bathhouses, both pool areas and the beach are smoke free.

Please call (443) 235-8697 for assistance should you have any problems resulting in need of a Resort Host. Spring/Fall hours, 6:00 PM–8:00 AM; Memorial Day–Labor Day hours, 9:00 PM–8:00 AM for EMERGENCIES ONLY.

CLOSING DAY
Closing Day 2021 will be Sunday, October 31. We ask that all campers exit the grounds by 1:00 PM.
DISCLAIMER & PHOTO CONSENT
By accepting this reservation, Guest hereby waives, releases and discharges and covenants not to sue Sun Communities for all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, property damage, any other claim arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Further, Guest agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sun Communities from all losses, claims, expenses and demands, including attorneys’ fees, that Sun Communities may incur arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/ Property. Guest further agrees to be responsible and liable for the actions and safety of every person in their group. Each registered guest grants Sun and/or its promotional partners the right to include photographic, video and other visual portrayals of all registered guest(s), any extra persons registered and his/her children (minor or not, if applicable) in any medium and for any purpose and agrees that such portrayals shall be Sun’s sole property.
