Art Carrara

We invite you to share our new line of exquisite collection from Art Carrara. Our unique sculptures and paintings are hand crafted in Italy on the finest Italian stone using old-fashioned European techniques. No two pieces are the same and each design showcases the beautiful color and texture of Italian stone. We offer both tradi-tional and contemporary designs. All designs can be used as decorative wall and floor tiles or table tops, or can be framed as pictures. Each design can be customized and used for both exterior and interior applications. Along with excellent craftsman-ship and outstanding service, we offer competitive prices. All artwork is originally designed and signed by our Italian artists Silvia and Riccardo Fulceri. Each piece is protected with a special finish to last for generations and will arrive with a certificate of authenticity.

OUR ARTISTS:

Riccardo Fulceri: born in Piombino, Italy, son of an artist, Riccardo spent many hours

watching his father creating many works of highly-praised art in buildings and homes around the world. Studying the various grades of stone, paintings, and sculptures, Riccardo learned from his father and further developed his own technique and pas-sion for stone. He is currently a well-recognized artist with numerous projects and exhi-bitions in many cities around the world. His commissioned works include stone artwork for the residences of the Prince and Princess of Saudi Arabia in Switzerland and France, the Sacral Art Exhibition for Pope John Paul II in Krakow, Poland, the Miami Art Museum, restaurant “Visione di Roma” in New York, and restaurant “Mario” in London. In addition he was commissioned for sculptural painting in Versailles in Paris and in the Castle of Angeli in Bergamo, Italy, and many other projects.

Silvia Fulceri: Riccardo’s daughter, Silvia, followed her father’s footsteps sharing his

passion for stone and went to the School of Art in Florence where she further devel-oped her skills. Together they created Art Carrara, a line of sculptural paintings and stone carvings, pieces that embody ancient tradition and contemporary imagina-tion.

3 3D Bas-Relief

Elisa Irene Beatrice Romana

3D Bas-relief technique is a method of sculpting which entails carving away the surface of a flat piece of stone. The word is derived from the Italian “basso rilievo”, the literal trans-lation meaning “low contrast”. The portrayed image is raised above the background flat surface. The natural contour of the figures allows the work to be viewed from many different angles without distortion. The sculpture figures float out from the background. The sophisticated, warm, and feminine Elisa is an introduction to a series of Mediterranean sculptural paintings created on 2” thick Noisette Marble using 3D Bas-relief technique.

Modulcarving is an exclusive technique invented by our Artist Riccardo Fulceri where pieces of natural stone are shaped by controlled removal of stone. Our unique designs are made on genuine Italian Marble by removing the polished material and creating contrast between the polished and rough surface. Owing to the perma-nence of stone, there is much evidence that even the earliest societies indulged in some form of stone work. Our designs were inspired by the stone masterpieces of ancient Italy and Greece, places where the history of great civilization began and where many pieces of great stone art were created.

Of the many ancient leisure activities, bathing was surely one of the most important for the greatest number of Romans and Greeks. Gracious ancient-style bathing scenes are eloqu- ently depicted in our Ancient Bath Collection. All designs and sizes can be customized.

The spectacular ancient Maya culture is beautifully evidenced in the legendary temples, pyramids, and palaces deep in the jungles of Mexico and Guatemala. While Europe was still in the Dark Ages, these innovative people had already charted the heavens and developed a hieroglyphic writing system. Several magnificent carved stone slabs showing ancient Mayan rulers still remain. Their legacy lives on in the signature stone artwork of Art Carrara such as the Donna Maya con Ibis.
