Outline

SECUDRIVE File Server is Windows-based security program which prevents data leakage from shared folders. Copying, printing, screen capture is prevented, while providing file export backup features and log management capabilities. You can install on your existing Windows-based file server and secure the stored data.

Main Features

User verification and login authentication

To access the file server which has SECUDRIVE File Server program installed you need to install the client program (SECUDRIVE File Server Client) to your PC and proceed to login authentication.

If the you fail the authentication, you will not be able to access the file server. SECUDRIVE File Server uses Windows local account or an Active Directory user account.

Prevent screen capture

If you try to screen capture data which is in the file server the captured screen will be a green screen and no data will be shown. Also, the Print Screen Key and capturing programs are blocked completely.

Prevent file copy

Prevent copy & paste, ‘Save As’ to the local PC, and saving to external storage. Uploading files from the local PC to the file server is allowed.

Prevent clipboard copy & paste

You can control the printing feature for files in the file server by block printing or adding a watermark which is forcibly applied when the file is printed.

Spool file encryption when printing

Prevent data leakage by encrypting the Spool file in the file server.

Automatic backup for the exported data

Authorized users can export data out from the file server. The original exported file will be automatically backed up.

Support multiple languages

Support English, Japanese, and Korean.

System Configuration

To configure SECUDRIVE File Server, the server & client programs need to be installed. Each server and client license needs to be purchased separately.

Central policy management

Changes to user authorization and allowed application programs will be applied to all clients through the network after the administrator modifies them.

Shared folder activity logs

Shared folder activity logs (Read, Write, Name change, delete, folder creation, copy, file leak block, copy & paste, and etc.) from the file server can be monitored in real-time.

Restriction of usable applications

The administrator can manage the usable applications as white lists. The application programs which are only allowed by the company policies, are able to access the shared folder..

Windows security feature & linkage

SECUDRIVE File Server applies data leak prevention to the network login users.

User authority, folder sharing, and file management are using the Windows standard features so this can be configured on Active Directory user environment.

User guide

FS Client

From the search window of the PC where the FS Client is installed, you can access the shared folder of the server where SECUDRIVE File Server is installed.

This is the same method of Windows folder share.

PC which has no FS Client installed

If you are trying to access the file server from a PC which does not have FS Client installed, there will be a network error and you will be blocked from gaining access.

You can see Word, Powerpoint, PDF & Excel files. This is the same method of normal Windows file share.

File opening

When you click test3.xlsx, you can open the Excel file.

The file running from the file server can be modified and be saved back to the server.

Copy to the local PC

If you try to drag and copy ‘test3.xlsx’ to your desktop window of the PC or try to save the file by using the another name, there will be an error message as below and you will not be able to copy.

File link creation/send

By using a file link, you can send the link by email or a messenger and use it as web link. By clicking the link, the file can be accessed instantly.
