GARTNER ANALYST OPENING KEYNOTE:
Rise to the Challenge - Peter Sondergaard,
Frank Buytendijk & David Willis
Digital business is here. In the opening keynote, join Global Head of Research, Peter Sondergaard and a team of leading Gartner analysts, who will showcase how digital business has moved from vision to reality. What is driving the success of digital business? How are leading companies paving the way? What is your role in this new reality? The good news is you are not alone. Digital business is a team sport involving all executives. And Gartner is there with you, every step of the way.
GARTNER CLOSING PRESENTATIONS:
Eccentric Leadership - Tina Nunno
CIOs work with many Senior Executives who may be considered “eccentric”. CEOs, CFOs, and other business leaders often exhibit behaviours that are extreme, unusual, or unpredictable. These
behaviours may be the result of a mild, hidden or undiagnosed mental disorder, which occur in 1 out of 4 adults. Combine such behaviours with a high IQ, and they often result in the “eccentric executive”. This session will explore eccentricity, and provide practical case examples of how CIOs effectively embrace the benefits and cope with the challenges of eccentricity in the executive suite. This research also explores the reality that many CIOs may themselves be eccentric leaders.
Closing Keynote
- Jeffrey Mann
Gartner Symposium covers a wide range of mission critical priorities for CIOs and IT Leaders. Many sessions, workshops, and evening activities covered the gamut: from emerging digital futures, to new leadership models, to how to actually build new IT capabilities. Learn what you might have missed over the week. Get a handle on the next steps you need to take to capatilise on what you have learned.
