Academic activities
6.1
Research interests
• My current research interest is in the area of logic and theoretical computer sci-ence:
– Fixpoint logics and modal µ-calculus.
– Program semantics and Domain Theory. – Curry-Howard correspondence and type theory. – Monads and functional programming.
• From 2007 I have been working on the formal systems of polish logician Stanis-law Le´sniewski(1886-1939). My undergraduate thesis on creative definitions in Le´sniewski’s system of “Ontology” proves a conjecture formulated in the 70’s and suggests new proof methods to investigate the role of creative definition in Le´sniewski’s systems.
Collaborations and mail correspondence on Le´sniewski include: A.Betti (Vrije Univ. of Amsterdam), P.Joray (Univ. of Rennes), F.V.Rickey (West Point Uni-versity), Z. Stachniak (York Univ. in Toronto).
6.2
Teaching
• January 2012: teaching assistant in the course “Imperative programming in Python”. • 2008-2009: preparation of lecture notes and slides for crash courses at the
Com-puter Science department of “MaxMara” on the following topics: – Python 3
– Object-Oriencted programming in Javascript (I also taught some modules of the course)
– YUI (Yahoo User Interface library in Javascript) – Mercurial
