Powers of attorney
and elderly Client Services
Planning for the future
We all know that life is unpredictable; incapacity, be it mental or physical, will limit our ability to look after our own affairs and make decisions on our own behalf. A lasting Power of Attorney allows you to appoint somebody to deal with your affairs in the event that you are unable to do so. The absence of a Lasting Power of Attorney can lead to considerable inconvenience and cost. Where somebody does not have mental capacity to put in place a Power of Attorney document, we can assist you to obtain a Deputyship Order to manage their affairs.
When considering the future, thought must also be given to the likelihood of some form of long term care being required and where the burden of such cost will fall. We can assist you to structure your estate to protect it from care costs in the future.
