Company background

Sundaram Business Services Limited (SBS) is a business process outsourcing company based in India, employing over 1,200 staff.

After successfully expanding their operations into Australia, they decided to turn their attention to the UK market. The first area they wanted to focus on was their Finance and Accounting Services for Corporates and Accounting Firms.

Selecting Prospect Research

SBS wanted to source a specialist UK lead generation company to work with.

Campaign overview

The campaign was focused on 1,000 small/mid-sized accountancy firms in and around London and ran over a six week period. The brief was to arrange appointments with firms who were interested in the opportunity to save time and money by outsourcing suitable accounting work to SBS.

Prospect Research’s team was successful in quickly gaining the interest of busy partner-level decision makers and engaging them in discussion. This was needed to clearly explain SBS’s

proposition and fully qualify their requirements and interest so that if an appointment was arranged, it would be a productive use of their senior executives’ limited time in the UK.

The appointments were also arranged with consideration for geography, so that SBS executives could minimise travel time and spend as much time as possible face to face with prospects.

Detailed call notes were supplied for each appointment, meaning that SBS executives were fully briefed before an appointment, which helped them make the most of each opportunity. Prospect Research also

developed the contact database so SBS could utilise the data for other marketing efforts, such as email campaigns.


Prospect Research achieved the campaign target within the

timeframe set by SBS. Their lead generation campaign helped act as a springboard to SBS’s work in the UK, and SBS now has an established client base in the UK. SBS has embarked on a subsequent lead generation campaign with Prospect Research to continue to build on these foundations.
