Quality is judged by two fundamental issues: “What do our clients say about us?” and “What does our industry say about us?”

Our clients consistently rate us as “exceptional” or “very good.” The Alexandria office received 97% “exceptional” or “very good” ratings in the DoD Architects– Engineer Administrative Support System (ACASS). Approximately 90 percent of HDR’s fees are derived from repeat clients.

The A/E industry has ranked HDR Architecture as a top architecture firm in every industry journal for nearly 20 years. The rankings for 2012 include:

HDR developed the ICE Space Standards in 2003 and 2010 for their inventory of owned and leased facilities. The latter task developed space standards and office models for three proto-typical sizes. This included office space for their various programs: Investigations, Detention and Removal, General Counsel, Information Management, and Administration. Critical features were design, modeling, space planning, security (including covert operational security). The charrettes used customer involvement to build trust, thus proto-typical designs were readily accepted by all parties.
