MOVYis3 stands for the kind of sitting comfort you only enjoy in first class. Like every other interstuhl chair, its design, function and ergonomics are all geared to providing a really good sitting experience. So this office swivel chair and swivel armchair raise synchronous mechanism to a truly premium level – this is what we call the Body-Float-Effect. The feeling is one of weightlessness and floating. MOVYis3 does not compromise on comfort either, whether it’s the swivel chair with mesh back or the swivel armchair with comfort upholstery. The design: light, dynamic, pure. MOVYis3 is a chair for today.

You are only aware of an excellent mechan-ism because of the way it works – nothing else. In the case of the MOVYis3 chair, what you are aware of is the incredibly pleasant Body-Float-Effect. It works like this: as soon as you sit down, the surface of the seat moves backwards and downwards, without the front edge of the seat lifting at all; simultaneously, the lower part of the backrest moves in to meet the lumbar spine area. It sounds complicated – but it’s just comfortable. This floating synchro-nous movement, this “body flow”, gives you the feeling of wonderfully pleasant and healthy support. This may be the most comfortable way ever to get yourself moving.
It’s not what you might expect. But in terms of ergonomics, you will be sitting with MOVYis3 in the front row. The office swivel chair’s weight regulation - so easy and quick to use - can be adjusted to almost every size; a single turn of the control dial encompasses the whole spectrum. It is specially comfortable when different users sit on the chair. The inclination of the seat can be adjusted individually, and the special seat depth adjustment allows it to fit people of nearly any size. There is nothing better than experiencing this for yourself.
All the members of the MOVYis3 family are united in design, and yet are so different from each other. Together they enhance every conceivable work space – from the desk to the reception area, from waiting rooms to the conference hall. Whether it’s the office swivel chair, swivel armchair, conference chair with star base, classic four-leg version, four legs on castors or – as here – the comfortable and striking cantilever: MOVYis3 always retains its character, and yet is ready for anything. Well, perhaps not absolutely anything: it won’t break the bank.
There is only a difference of a few centimetres between a swivel chair and an armchair:
mesh is replaced by upholstery, the back is lengthened, and there you are: the seat has become a relaxation zone. The MOVY swivel armchair would not be a MOVYis3, if it did not have all those strengths that are the special features of MOVYis3: high-end mechanism with Body-Float-Effect, superb ergonomics and perfect adjustment to changing users. You can also relax as far as the purchase price of the MOVYis3 swivel armchair goes – and this applies equally to the version with comfort upholstery and the version with deluxe upholstery and armrests with leather cover.
An exemplary European down to the last detail
With its advanced adjustment possibilities, e.g. the armrests and the seat, MOVYis3 fully complies with the Ergonomics Standard NPR 1813 that supplements the European Standard EN 1335, giving special dimensions for office chairs for people who are taller or shorter than average. Environmentally-friendly manufacture and ecologically sound products are some of interstuhl’s trademarks; they had top priority in the development of MOVYis3 too. The environmental management system of interstuhl complies with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 14001; Total Quality Management has since 1993 been certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.

Product design: Andreas Krob, Joachim Brüske © interstuhl. Andreas Krob is an industrial designer. He founded B4K in 2001 with his wife Uta Krob. The studio is known for sensitive design of high-quality, innova-tive assignments in the areas of design and architecture. The furnishings have an individual design language, and each one has a unique character. With MOVYis3, an office chair was created that combines top-class comfort with an impression of weightlessness and transpa-rency. MOVYis3 was developed in co-operation with Joachim Brüske.

Interstuhl does not accept any compromises when it comes to the subject of substainability. Up to 98 % recyclable material is being used in Interstuhl‘s environmental-ly responsible production whereof a high part is of natural material. Not without reason, MOVYis3 has been awarded the Blue Angel certificate and, already in 1995 as one of the first companies in the office furniture industry, our company has been awarded the EMAS certificate.
