Terminology

There are many different types of Enterprise and IT

Architect with many organizations using different

titles to designate the Architect who leads an

Enterprise Architecture project

Unfortunately the lack of definition of roles results

in misunderstanding and miscommunication when

recruiting and filling the roles of Architect

The TOGAF Skills Framework was the first to

publicly define the roles for the Enterprise

Architect.

Contributed by Architecting the Enterprise

The industry is seeking to develop industry

consensus regarding usage of the terms

For example The Open Certified Architect from The

Open Group
