Connect the screen and key board to fault APG.

If no “ OPERANTING SYSTEM FOUND” fallow the next step

The "OS not found" problem can be due to a problem with the system disk. This problem can usually be remedied by performing a power cycle of the fauty node. If the problem reoccurs, then node replacement is recommended.

REMEDY: CONDITIONS:

This fix is applicable to APG40C/2.

If the AP hardware type is APG40C/4 then use the fix below. AP Command:

The message below is seen on a locally connected monitor. "Operating system not found".

The problem exists on the passive node and the active node is functioning normally.

PROCEDURE:

Use the following steps to power cycle the faulty node. Use the "APG40, Node, Change OPI" as a reference.

Check the status of the drives.

Make sure all disks on bus 0 (d#b0t#d#) have the status "Optimal". If any of the disks on bus 0 do not have the status "Optimal" then contact the next level of support.

Command:

"C:\Program Files\Dptmgr\raidutil" -L raid | find " d0b0" Example Printout:

d0b0t0d0 Disk Drive (DASD) FUJITSU MAH3182MP 17432MB Optimal d0b0t1d0 Disk Drive (DASD) FUJITSU MAH3182MP 17432MB Optimal d0b0t2d0 Disk Drive (DASD) FUJITSU MAH3182MP 17432MB Optimal Put the faulty node into a safe, powered off state.

When fcc_save_to_remove is complete the MIA light will be lit on the faulty node. If the MIA light is not lit then contact the next level of support.

Note: Some steps may be faulty. Just continue by typing "Y" at the prompts.

Command:

fcc_save_to_remove other Example Printout:

Are you sure to execute fcc_save_to_remove? [Y/N] : Y

If necessary, cluster groups are moved from the other node. Examine cluster group "Disk Group"

Cluster group already is on the node "APG40A" Examine cluster group "PMC860 Group"

Cluster group already is on the node "APG40A" Examine cluster group "Cluster Group"

Cluster group already is on the node "APG40A" Examine cluster group "RGAPM_0"

Examine cluster group "RGAPM_1" Move the cluster groups : ok Stop cluster service : faulty

Do you like to continue the command? [Y/N]: Y Remove the mirrors: ok

Shutdown the other node : faulty

Do you like to continue the command? [Y/N]: Y Turn off the other node :ok (failed)

fcc_save_to_remove was not executed correctly The MIA light should be lit on the faulty node.

Disconnect power from the faulty node, wait 60 seconds and reconnect the power.

Wait about 10 minutes for the node to reboot.

Integrate the shared mirrored disk drive from the active node. Note: Some steps may be faulty. Just continue by typing "Y" at the prompts.

Command:

fcc_integrate other Example Printout:

Are you sure to execute fcc_integrate? [Y/N] : Y Examines, whether the other node has started! The name of the other node = APG40B

The other node is accessible

Stop the cluster service on the other node: faulty Do you like to continue the command? [Y/N]: Y Initialize the rebuilding of the mirrors: ok Start the cluster service on the other node: ok fcc_integrate was not executed correctly

Check that the mirroring of the RAID is ongoing.

Make sure all disk drives on bus 0 (dxb0txdx) have the status "Optimal".

Make sure one RAID device has the status "Reconstruct" and the other two RAID devices have the status "Reconstruct/Pending". The mirroring will take about 4-5 hours.

Command:

"C:\Program Files\dptmgr\raidutil" -L raid Example Printout:

FTP SERVER CONFIGURATION

The definition on the APG side is pretty much straight forward. Please follow the steps below:

Define a destination: OPI “Common Destination Handling, Destination, Define“ Use the Ip address of remote side, username, password and path

Define a destination set: OPI “Common Destination Handling, Destination Set, Define“

The destination set should include the destination defined at step 1 Define a transfer queue: OPI “AP File Processing, Transfer Queue, Define“ The transfer queue should point twards the destination set defined at step 2. Change the alogfile definition to include the transfer queue: OPI “AP, Audit Log, Attributes, Set“

Basically the alog files will be sent to the remote FTP server on the following way:

Alogfile -> transfer queue -> destination set -> destination -> FTPServer The 4 steps above will result in the following 4 commands:

cdhdef cdhdsdef afpdef

Right click/send block 3.4.2 From a Command File 3.4.2.1 Create

Now, let's create a command file that will be associated with the channel that we created in section 3.2.

Simply press the Command file window button on the button bar or select File | New from the menu bar. This creates a command file that is automatically associated with the active channel.

Type in a few MML commands into the command file window. Here is an example of a very simple command file (AXE):

dpwsp; plldp;

exrpp:rp=all;

You can save this file for later use with the Save button on the button bar or from File | Save menu.

With mouse or keys, select the area you want to send in the command file window. Now press F4. WinFIOL starts to send the MML commands one by one and shows you the progress of the transmission in the Transmission dialog box. If any of the commands are faulty and not accepted by the target exchange, the transmission is paused and you can correct the MML commands (see section 6.3). You can also send a whole command file without opening it into a command file window first. To do so, press F2 in the active channel file or select Run | Transmit File menu. Choose a file and select OK.
