Great song. Pretty fun to play. Sadly, the only song in the pack that is worth playing. Pretty happy that they released something that was worth getting after weeks of crap.. tl;dr version-Charged too much for a poorly balanced phone port.

Full

Version-I haven't had a good SRPG fix in a while and Version-I was, to say the least, disappointed by what Version-I was presented with. It looked cute. Animation looked a bit stilted, but overall not too bad. The music is inoffensive, at least. Then I started playing and realized it was a phone game port. The mouse was merely an analog to tapping.

The camera controls are sticky, and the menus large and intrusive. If I play a game with a neat aesthetic I want to be able to see it.

I got into the combat and it only got worse. The Bonions were either overpowered or useless. Overpowered when they were set up from the start to be taken advantage of. Useless when it required baiting enemies into their range.

What finally broke me was the first boss fight. I had given up on the Bonions and fallen to normal SRPG stragegy of just sending the heavy guy up front to wail while my others did whatever support they could.

Then the boss summoned reinforcements not only right on top of my crew, but these new troops also got an extra turn. If I want XCOM-grade \u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665t like that, I'll play XCOM.

Got my refund after wiping on the fourth map to a scenario I could not have known about and did not have any chance to react to.. Very well made game -- Runs well, and I didn't encounter any bugs or problems. It's fun seeing how high of a score you can get!

If there's ever a second game, one fun idea could be to add a timer to each question, and bonus points could be earned based upon how quickly you answered :O

10\/10, very worth it for the price :D. Genre - Point n'click comic A fun little game, with minimal interaction, it is still short and sweet.

I got it for a discount, but I think it is a fair price normally especially as I had played the other free game by the same company.

I had high hopes for this game as a fan of turn-based strategy, but those hopes were quickly dashed. The only thing Garden Tale has going for it is the artwork, though some suspect character designs (Meryl) manage to tarnish even that.

Garden Tale prides itself on a trap system revolving around Bonions, exploding vegetables that can harm both enemies and allies. The videos and images show large-scale chain reactions that seem exciting and fun, similar to games like Disgaea or La Pucelle. The videos, however, lie about these possibilities in a shameful way, including fabricating combos for show on maps that, in practice, aren't possible to pull off. Indeed, one segment of the advert video shows a combo on one of the first few maps you play on, with a starting point that would require a long-ranged attack. The problem? There aren't any long-ranged attacks, particularly not at that point in the very beginning of the game.

And there lies the biggest issue with the trap system; there is no safe way to work within it. Bonions require an attack to detonate them and they explode over a large area, and several hours into the game and 5 characters acquired, I still only have melee attacks. Essentially, bulding a series of explosions thus means sacrificing a character to the fallout afterwards.

Except, that assumes the traps are worth building in the first place! Enemies are many per map, and they hit very hard, an issue exacerbated by the forced progression from map-to-map without opportunity to grind and level one's characters up. Bonions, further, cannot be pushed, pulled or thrown, they can only be moved with certain attacks done by certain weapons wielded by certain characters. This means, in order to set up traps, you have to spread out your characters, take several turns moving Bonions into range of each other, and then sacrifice a character to detonate them.

In practice, this will get you killed long before them just from enemy attacks, enemies which have your characters beat both in movement and attack range. The solution? Ignore the Bonions, and just attack the enemies. Not only is this easier, it's the only real effective strategy. Unfortunately, it's also the most boring one.

In the most aggregious lack of enemy diversity I've seen in any game in a long time, there are only two types of enemies, and fittingly two types of enemy sprites; a melee wolffoxthing, and a ranged wolffoxthing. Further, while there are a variety of skills, they mostly function on the Bonions which have since been established as effectively the most falsely advertised form of a gimmick a game developer can get. So, enemies are uninteresting, and skills - given that they function on a nonfuctioning system - end up uninteresting as well. In the end, the game comes down to hacking and slashing enemies in a very uninteresting, monotonous way alongside some of the worst, uneditable control and camera systems in modern gaming.

There is little else to save the game from it's badly thought-out battle system. Animations have no flair, music is forgettable, and the storyline and character development are on par with Creative Writing 101 alums at best. There's no way to grind, defeating the fun for people that enjoy that, no real way to strategize, defeating the excitement of one coming from better-made TRPGS, no multiple paths, no exploration, no choice, no point.

Even at under $10, I wish I could get my money back. There are far better experiences even in this price range for RPG fans. Skip this one until it's in the dollar bin where it belongs.. Really great fighting game at its core, but its boggled down by its really old engine. It could be way better, but its clear the devs don't really care.. this game is complete trash, and when i say that I will also note that i wasn't even able to get into the game. constant crashes. Not worth the time to download.. This is a fun and simple game.. it loooked good at first glance but due to a bug and getting stuck in a loop withinh the first 3 mins of the game i can sadly not recomend this game. when\/if they fix it i will come back and hopefully leave a more positive review. After trying many of the existing card games I must say that Spellweaver deserved to be known as it is probably the best proposal:

- A real and generous free to play

It's probably the one that you'll need the less grind to come up with a decent card collection as every single game you play gives you gold to buy new cards, with no daily restriction of any sort. This plus regular campaign missions makes it easy to buy new packs every day. You will NEVER have so spend a dime to get anything in this game, you can get it all by just playing. - An efficient ressource system

The level\/mana combo gives an interesting strategy approach and the possibility to exchange a card to pick a mana one every turn removes the death mana plays you can find in other games

- No RNG cards

Don't count on RNG cards to win a game. Yeah, you're in charge!

(8)

- Daily tournaments

Some for free, some with a "ticket" entry. Tickets can easily be bought with in-game gold. Various types of game proposed makes it interesting to play.

- You can even gain real money

Yes you read it right. Every month there is a minimum poll of 250$ plus a percentage of the money spent in the game by all the players given the winner of the monthly tournament. Did I say the registration for this tournament was free? A serious taunt to competitive players!

I really encourage to try this game and if you need a little boost to get started just let me know, I'd be happy to sponsor you in game which will grant you a nice 75k gold to start with when creating a new account.. This is actually my very first review on Steam.

Aero's Quest can be broken down to 5 words: Cutie - hilarious - Challenging - Long - Addictive

- Cutie because of the general initial feeling that the game gives you

- Hilarious because the cuteness is suddently killed by the funny and splatter animations when you die - Challenging because you really die a lot!

- Long because you can play with more than 100 hard levels

- Addictive because even when you get frustrated you still wanna keep playing to beat the levels. I would give this game a neutral recommendation, but Steam won't allow that so until either that happens or the game improves,I keep it as a no.My reasons for it are the balance issues and some awkward rules. The game itself is good, if you like Magic: The gathering, you will probably like this too.

You know something is not right when you look at the top 10 players and 6 of them are with a Darkness deck. Basically there are 2 strong factions and if you play anything else you will struggle to win.

Unlike in most games there are no counterspells and no reaction phase where you can react to an enemy spellcast. Combined with the fact that Darkness for instance has really cheap "Destroy Creature" cards and by cheap I mean they are often cheaper than the creature they destroy. Yes,the enemy can instantly kill most of your creatures without you being able to keep them alive and does this with the same or fewer resources.

Example:

"Destroy a creature with 2 atk or less"-2 mana,level 1

My collection of ~250 DIFFERENT cards has no creature with the same or less cost that has 3 attack or more and most that have a higher manacost get destroyed by just this card as well. This game really needs to have weaker or more expensive creature shots.

I know it seems like a bad reason to not recommend something, but when you play 6-7 out of 10 games against the very same decks and basically have no chance to win unless you do it as well the whole thing becomes extremely repetitive and loses diversity.. Another bad joke on Steam.

- controls - graphics - tons of bugs - damage model - small tracks - optimization - AI
