HHS offers two types of choral
experiences.
Show Choir is for those singers
who want to sing, dance, act,
compete and be a part of a very
active group. HHS has two show
choirs: Music Makers is our varsity
group, open only to 10-12 graders,
and Forefront is our junior varsity
(or prep) group, open to grades
9-11.
Concert Choirs are offered for
those singers who want to sing and
perform without all the other
elements required for show choir.
The concert choirs also have a
somewhat less rigorous schedule.
Royal Accord is our all-men
concert choir and Serenata is our
all-women group.

Wildcat News creates and publishes several print editions
throughout the school year and is responsible for the daily update of hhsnews.com.
Students will also learn the responsible use of social media and how to interact with readers in various media.
The Pride is an award-winning publication placing in several
categories in the JEMKC citywide contest. It has also been recognized nationally by the Dow Jones News Fund for social media coverage.
Students enrolled in this course produce the school’s newspaper, The Pride and HHS Wildcat News Online (www.hhsnews.com). Building on knowledge from journalism courses,
students learn more about the craft by writing stories, editing copy, taking
photographs, shooting video, developing online content and creating layouts.
Experienced students have the opportunity for leadership positions as newspaper editors. These students will have
expanded responsibilities inside and outside of class. Some after-school meetings and reporting assignments are required.
Wildcat News is a co- curricular activity, which meet daily dead lines during a specific period.
