The following information guides you through our automated telephone service. At any time during your call, you can press 0 to speak to an Investment Representative during our regular business hours. This service allows you to issue trading instructions using the touch-tone keypad on your telephone.

TO REGISTER AND GET STARTED

Call toll-free 1 800 567-3343 to reach the main menu, which will give you the following choices:

1 To obtain up-to-date quotes and prices 4 For password re-sets and online technical support 5 For first-time callers

2 To buy, sell, or exchange

* To hear these options again investments in your account

3 To open a new account or obtain information on an existing account

• Press 1 to obtain up-to-date quotes and prices :

• Press 2 to buy, sell, or exchange investments in your account :

Remember, at any time, you can press to speak to 0 an Investment Representative during our regular business hours.

Quotes menu

Access real-time equity, option, and index quotes on Canadian and U.S. stock exchanges and over-the-counter markets. You can also create, update, or play back a customized list of up to 10 securities. Once in the Quotes menu, choose one of the following options:

1 for Stock Quotes 2 for Option Quotes 3

for Index Quotes 4

to hear your Portfolio Tracker list

For each of these options, you will be asked to enter the letter symbol for the stock, index, or exchange you want. To enter a letter:

• Press the number on the keypad on which the letter appears.

• Press 1 , 2 , or 3 to indicate whether the letter is the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd letter on the key as on the following table. Note: the letter “Q” is represented by 7 7 and “Z” by

Once in the Stock Quotes menu, follow these steps to get a quote for a stock:

• Enter the symbol of the stock you want a quote for by using two numbers for each letter of the symbol, according to the numeric alphabet chart above.

• Press # .

• Enter the symbol for the exchange on which the security is traded, as listed in the “Table of exchange symbols” below:

Please note that after a quote has been played back, you will be given the following options: 1 to make a trade

2 to listen to another quote

3 to change your quote playback details for the duration of the call

To get quotes on other securities, such as preferred shares or warrants: • As above, from the Quotes menu, press 1 for stock quotes.

• Enter the stock symbol followed by a period (represented by 1 1 ). • Enter the type of security (see the next page), followed by another period. • Enter the security’s series letter, if any.

• Press # .

• Enter the symbol for the exchange on which the security is listed.

Once in the Option Quotes menu, follow these steps to get a quote for an option:

• Enter the option symbol you want a quote for by using two numbers for each letter of the symbol, and then press # . Enter the number for the exchange on which the option is listed; 1 for Canada and 2 for U.S.

• Enter the number that corresponds to the month the option expires using two digits (for example, 0 4 for April).

• Enter the strike price, pressing

for decimal. If the strike price is an even dollar amount, enter the whole dollar amount followed by

0 . If the strike price is $0.50, enter the whole dollar amount followed by

*

5 . (Strike prices for options are generally whole or half dollar amounts).

• Enter the number corresponding to the type of option by pressing: 1 for a call

2 for a put

Please note that after a quote has been played back, you will be given the following options: 1 to make a trade

2 to listen to another quote

3 to change your quote playback details for the duration of the call

Electronic brokerage services are originally set to a “short” quote format. You can pre-select the quote format (Short, Medium, Long, or Complete) by using the Personal Profile Options menu.

Once in the Index Quotes menu, follow these steps to get a quote for an index:

• Enter the index symbol using two numbers for each letter of the symbol, and press # . • Enter the symbol for the exchange on which the index is traded, as listed below.

Once in the Portfolio Tracker menu, you can listen to your Portfolio Tracker list, or create a new Portfolio Tracker list. You now have two options.

1 to listen to your Portfolio Tracker. While listening to the quotes in your portfolio list, you can press the following keys:

1 to skip back to the previous quote 2 to repeat the current quote 3 to skip forward to the next quote

2 to create, listen to, or change your Portfolio Tracker, select from the following choices: 1 to play back the symbols in your portfolio list

2 to add a symbol 3 to delete a symbol 4 to delete your entire list

Order Entry menu

You can enter buy or sell orders for stocks, change or cancel unfilled stock orders, and review open equity orders on major Canadian and U.S. stock exchanges, as well as over-the-counter markets — 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Immediate completion of orders is subject to applicable market hours and market conditions. You can also review open stock orders. These can be changed or cancelled, subject to prior fill or expiry, and are not market orders.

Once in the Order Entry menu, follow these steps:

• You will hear a list of your accounts. Select the number that corresponds to the account you want to trade in (if requested).

• Select what you want to trade by pressing: 1 for equity orders

2 for all mutual funds and other order entries (during regular business hours, this will connect you to an Investment Representative)

• Select the type of trade you want by pressing: 1 to place a buy order

2 to place a sell order

3 to review, change, or cancel open orders TO PLACE A BUY ORDER

• Enter the security symbol by using two numbers for each letter of the symbol (see the “Numeric alphabet” chart on Page 17).

• Select the country in which you want to trade. We will automatically find the exchange that offers the best price in that country, so there is no need to select a specific stock exchange. Press 1 for Canada, or 2 for the U.S. The service will then give you the option of listening to the quote on the equity you have specified.

• Indicate the number of shares you want to trade followed by # (e.g., for 5,000 shares).

• Indicate the type of order you want by pressing: 1 for a market order (filled at the best price available)

2 for a limit order (filled only at the price you specify or better). You will be asked to enter the price for your order. Enter the price in valid price increments using the

key as the decimal. • Enter the date on which your order will expire in MMDD format. Select # if you want your

order to expire at the end of the current trading day. Your order can be in effect for up to 30 calendar days. Please ensure your order expires on a valid business day. You may place a restriction on your order.

• Press 1 to place your order as All or None. Do not use the All or None restriction on equity orders of one board lot, less than one board lot, or for market orders. You will hear a list of options for settling the trade. Select the appropriate number. Press:

1 to accept the order 2 to change an order

3 to cancel an order (subject to prior fill)

• Send your order by entering your trading password. If your order requires review and the Investment Representative encounters a problem with your order, she/he will contact you at the telephone number on file. If you cannot be reached, your order may be rejected. IMPORTANT — please keep your contact information current.

• You will hear a list of your accounts (if you have more than one account). If you have not previously selected an account, select the number that corresponds to the account you want to access.

• The automated telephone service will read back all of your orders in the account you have selected. After listening to the list, press one of the following:

1 to change an order

2 to cancel an order (subject to prior fill) 3 to review your open orders

• Enter the order number as assigned by CIBC Investor’s Edge followed by # . To change an order, press 1 :

1 to change the price 2 to change the expiry date 3 to change the order quantity

6 to accept the change and process the request

After you make a change to your order, and the system has read back the new order details, including the value of the trade, press:

1 if your changes are complete. You will then be asked to send your order by entering your trading password, followed by # .

2 to make further changes to the selected order

3 to ignore the change request and revert to the existing order 4 to play back the order request

Please note that once you have submitted a change, you will receive a confirmation number. To cancel an order, press 2 :

After listening to the list of your open orders, select 2 (Cancel) from the menu. Next, enter the order number (if requested), followed by # . After the system has read back your cancel request, press:

1 to continue with the cancel request. You will then enter your trading password followed by # .

2 to end your cancel request and return to the main menu

Please note that you may have received a fill or partial fill on your order, before you cancelled, which you are responsible for paying.

To change an order, press 3:

If you wish to buy or sell a number of shares greater than the number originally requested in your order, you must enter a new order for the additional shares. If both orders are filled during the same trading day, the commission will be consolidated. You cannot decrease the size of your order to a number of shares less than, or equal to, the number of shares already filled.

Account Inquiry menu

You can use the system to review your portfolio and open orders. You can also receive an interim statement on your accounts. Once in the Account Inquiry menu, you will hear a list of your accounts (if you have more than one account). Select the number that corresponds to the account you want to review. Next, choose one of the options below by pressing:

1 for account summary. You can review the cash balance and market value of securities held in your account and the overall value of your account. Also, your account will be updated in real time when an equity or option trade is executed.

3 to review your orders. You can receive up-to-the-minute information on your open orders and details of any fills. After the orders have been placed, you can choose to change or cancel an order.

4 to transfer funds to another account. Transfer cash between your CIBC bank account and your CIBC Investor’s Edge account or make contributions to your self-directed registered account by following these steps:

• Select the account from which you want to transfer funds. • Select the account to which you want to transfer funds.

• Enter the amount of your cash transfer, using the

key as the decimal.

• Specify the date to transfer the funds up to 30 days in advance. Enter the date of the transfer in MMDD format, or press the # key to have the transfer take place on the current business day. If you select the current business day after 2:30 p.m. ET, your transfer will be processed on the following business day.

5 to select another account (if you have more than one account). You can do inquiries on another account without going back to the main menu.

Market Information/New Issues menu

Once in the Market Information/New Issues menu, you have two options. Press:

1 for markets at a glance. You can listen to the performance of 10 major North American indices and market indicators.

3 for new issues. You can receive information on the latest new issues that are available through CIBC Investor’s Edge.

Personal Profile Options menu

The Personal Profile function lets you change your quote formats and passwords. Once in the Personal Profile Options menu, choose one of the following:

1 to change your password

2 to change the format for your quote playback 3 to change your Portfolio Tracker list

You can change both your sign on password and your trading password to any combination that is six to 12 digits long. When you change your password for our automated telephone service, it automatically changes your password for online trading. Press:

You can change the format in which you hear your quotes. For equity quotes, press one of the following:

1 short – last price, change, volume, news indicator

2 medium – bid, ask, last price, change, volume, news indicator

3 long – bid, ask, last price, change, volume, bid lots, ask lots, news indicator 4 complete – bid, ask, last price, change, volume, bid lots, ask lots, open, high, low,

number of trades, news indicator

To change your Portfolio Tracker list of quotes, select from the following choices: 1 to play back the symbols in your portfolio list

You can now choose another account, and select from any of our phone options for activities related to your other account(s).
