Executive summary
The INTACT project addresses the resilience of Critical Infrastructure (CI) to Extreme Weather Events (EWE) challenges and bring together innovative and cutting edge knowledge and experience in Europe in order to develop and demonstrate best practices in engineering, materials, construction, planning and designing protective measures as well as crisis response and recovery capabilities. All this will culminate in the INTACT Reference Guide, the decision support system that facilitates disciplinary and cross-border data sharing and provides for a forum for evidence based policy formulation.
Work Package (WP) 7 is responsible for communication and dissemination of the project outcomes. Furthermore, this WP will engage the relevant stakeholders, which is essential to provide a clear project direction and to disseminate guidance on the benefits offered by INTACT to public and private end-users and stakeholders, and prepare the project’s exploitation plan.
WP7 supports and organises the internal and external communication activities on behalf of the requirements from the other WPs. To this end, Deliverable 7.2, the ‘Website and Collaboration Platform Online’ describes the INTACT website as one of the facilities to share information online, and the INTACT SharePoint as one of the (secured) facilities to exchange information between INTACT consortium partners. Already, both facilities have been addressed in Deliverable 7.1, ‘Stakeholder engagement and dissemination plan, including visual identity and partner guidance’. Therefore, the current Deliverable 7.2 is meant to declare the (public) online availability of the INTACT website, www.intact-project.eu, and the (restricted) online availability of the INTACT SharePoint, http://projecten.panteia.nl/fp7-intact/SitePages/Home.aspx. All INTACT project members have received a Username and a Password in order to access the password protected INTACT SharePoint.

Introduction
1.1
The INTACT project
Resilience of Critical Infrastructure (CI) to Extreme Weather Events (EWE), such as heavy rainfall, drought or icing, is one of the most demanding challenges for both government and society. Extreme Weather (EW) is a phenomenon that causes severe threats to the well-functioning of CI. The effects of various levels of EW on CI will vary throughout Europe. These effects are witnessed through changes in seasons and extreme temperatures (high and low), humidity (high and low), extreme or prolonged precipitation (for example rain, fog, snow, and ice) or prolonged lack thereof (drought), extreme wind or lack of wind, and thunderstorms. The increased frequency and intensity of EWE can cause events such as flooding, drought, ice formation and wild fires. which present a range of complex challenges to the operational resilience of CI.
The economic and societal relevance of the dependability and resilience of CI is obvious: infrastructure malfunctioning and outages can have far reaching consequences and impacts on economy and society. The cost of developing and maintaining CI is high if they are expected to have a realistic functional and economic life (50+ years). Hence, future EWE has to be taken into account when considering protection measures, mitigation measures and adaption measures to reflect actual and predicted instances of CI failures.
The INTACT project will address these challenges and bring together innovative and cutting edge knowledge and experience in Europe in order to develop and demonstrate best practices in engineering, materials, construction, planning and designing protective measures as well as crisis response and recovery capabilities. All this will culminate in the INTACT Reference Guide, the decision support system that facilitates cross-disciplinary and cross-border data sharing and provides for a forum for evidence based policy formulation.
The objectives of the INTACT project are to:
• Assess regionally differentiated risk throughout Europe associated with extreme weather;
• Identify and classify, on a Europe wide basis, CI and to assess the resilience of such CI to the impact of EWE;
• Raise awareness of decision-makers and CI operators about the challenges (current and future) EW conditions may pose to their CI; and,
• Indicate a set of potential measures and technologies to consider and implement, be it for planning, designing and protecting CI or for effectively preparing for crisis response and recovery.

INTACT Website
The project website, the INTACT web-based external communication platform, is a major communication channel between the project and the various stakeholders. The website provides information on the project, as well as a feedback communication form, in order to establish a bidirectional link with the stakeholders. This form will be linked to the project contact email, [email protected].
The domain name for the website is www.intact-project.eu.
The overall impression of the INTACT website is presented by Figure 2.1.

As depicted in Figure 2.1, the website will provide the following tabs:
• The ‘Home’ tab, providing a quick introduction to the project and a news/ events section;
• The ‘Projects’ page, providing a description of the INTACT project and the different WPs comprising the INTACT project;
• The ‘Deliverables’ tab, providing an online repository for the publicly available (formal) reports sorted per WP as well as presentations and other deliverables;
• The ‘Cases’ tab, providing a short description of the case studies and its findings;
• The ‘INTACT reference guide’, providing the web-based application for CI planning and operation (available at the end of the project);
• The ‘Contact’ tab, providing the project contact form.

• The ‘News and events’ tab, presenting the news and events of the project, including a registration tool;
• The ‘Consortium’ tab, presenting the INTACT consortium partners.
A direct link to the password protected INTACT SharePoint is provided on the upper right corner on the INTACT website. The INTACT SharePoint access form (– asking for a Username and a Password –) pops up in a new page when clicking this direct link.

INTACT SharePoint – collaboration platform
The INTACT SharePoint is a platform which is intended to facilitate the day-to-day activities in the INTACT consortium. Based on an internal contact list, each INTACT project member is issued an account (– Username and Password –) to the INTACT SharePoint. Access to the INTACT SharePoint is restricted to INTACT consortium partners only.
The INTACT SharePoint includes different functionalities; it specifically contains a function for “real-time” collaboration between the partners, a document exchange platform for all types of files and a calendar noting the important dates such as milestones and deliverables. All users are provided with editing rights in order to update the content of the SharePoint. A quick view of the INTACT SharePoint is shown in Figure 3.1.
