Current established solutions aim to avoid energy loss by extensive insulation and
sealing of buildings (e.g. ‚Minergie‘). Further development of these methods will
reach their technical limits over time.
An alternative approach is the use of natural energy sources which are collected
and stored for winter periods. Focus is on reduction of CO
2emission to zero (Low
EX, Zero Emission). During winter periods the stored warmth is extracted by heat
pumps in order to heat the building.
