Manufactured from a spun-bonded Polypropylene material that is fully accredited to LPS1207 and complies with fire regulations associated with temporary protection materials. Uses include temporary internal protection on building sites, in factories, warehousing, showrooms, offices and most domestic situations. Laying & Jointing FloorShield FR

should be done on flat clean surfaces and is best laid in the longest runs possible for economy of use and ease of application. See adhesive tape section for details on jointing and securing this product to surfaces such as laminate, screeded, coated concrete, terrazzo and carpeted floors etc.

FloorShield Standard

is manufactured from recycled paper and formed into a cardboard type material making it a very economical and environmentally friendly product. FloorShield STD gives a degree of water and slip resistance, it can be easily cut with a knife and is suitable for protecting carpeted areas, vinyl, timber, concrete, raised access, screeded floors, worktops & doors. Ideal for protecting against foot traffic and gives a degree of impact resistance whilst maintaining a clean surface below.

StairShield Standard

is ideal for narrow corridors and stair protection, when a full roll width is too wide and heavy to handle. Manufactured from recycled paper and formed into a cardboard type material making it an environmentally friendly product. StairShield is used to protect carpets, vinyl, timber and concrete, giving some degree of water resistance against foot traffic and impact whilst maintaining a clean surface below. Carpet Protection Film

is manufactured from a tough polythene film with a special low tack adhesive back and is designed to protect carpets on a temporary basis without creating a trip hazard. Carpet Protection film can be safely used on steps and stairs to avoid trip hazards unlike the traditional method of using dust sheets. Where smooth nosings or carpet plates are used they should first be lined with Easi-Peel easy tear tape before covering over with carpet film. Please note this material should not be left in place for more than 4 weeks without renewing and is not suitable for thick pile carpets.

Carpet Protector VCP1

is a heavy duty PVC carpet runner that is ideal for medium to long term protection on carpets in highly trafficked areas and can be used in commercial settings with sustained use of industrial footwear and will give long lasting use. The carpet runner has a robust diamond pattern on the underside to keep it in place but may need additional fixing on some surfaces.

TwinShield

is a twin wall polypropylene board that is tough, durable, impact/chemical resistant, non-toxic, waterproof and does not stain. Suitable for all round protection. LPS1207 FLAME RETARDANT has been developed due to the increased concern about the role of combustible materials fuelling major fires. For this reason we have developed a fully proven range of flame

retardant boards. TwinShield has met the very stringent quality control standards of the LPCB. The LPCB logo, registration number is printed on every sheet so that the contractor can be certain that they are buying a fully accredited product.

Simply and quickly cut, curved or creased, lightweight and easy to position. See door protection pages 16 - 18 for details on other sizes.

A CAD design and cutting service is available for special sizes if required, subject to quantity. We also produce special cut shapes including a wide range of sanitary ware protection, kitchen worktop protection, boxes and trays in flame retardant and standard board, some products can be made up to 10mm thick.

Tack Mat - Low Profile Clean-off

comprises of hard wearing plastic layers coated in positive adhesive which is non-transferable and anti-microbial. Each mat is only 4mm thick which enables them to be used under doors or when placed at the entrance to sensitive areas pedestrian traffic is

compelled to step-on and step-off the mat. Each sheet is peeled off individually when it is soiled and no longer effective. Mats can be laid end to end or side by side to achieve the desired size. Low Profile clean-off matting system has 60 layers per mat.

Rubber Matting

is ideal for semi-permanent walkways or cushioned slip resistant standing areas. Rubber matting can be easily cleaned and is unaffected by temperature, providing insulation from cold concrete floors, which can inhibit blood circulation in feet. Rib-mat is manufactured from hard wearing natural rubber, has a slip-resistant ‘fluted’ surface and is ideal for use around workbench areas to prevent fragile parts from damage.

Combi-mat standard is an interwoven fire tested PVC matting with open holes (22mm x 22mm) and is designed to protect operators from fatigue caused by prolonged standing. Fully reversible and resistant to mild acids and alkalis.

Drain-mat is the only ‘drainable’ rubber runner available and provides effective slip-resistance in wet conditions, is hard wearing and fully reversible for long lasting wear. Drain-mat is easy to roll up and move - ideal for

temporary bars, kitchens and walkways, where spillage of water or drinks is common. It can be cleaned with ease - hosed down or even pressure washed. Circle-mat is a very tough, extra heavy duty rubber matting. Open structure allows debris to be trapped.

Ideal for muddy, wet or icy ground conditions. Circle-mat can be laid end to end as a runner or in larger areas, also suitable for building entrances, temporary outdoor surfaces or permanent pathways.

Tack Mat - Heavy Duty Rubber Framed

are free standing multi-layered, floor mats. Each layer is coated with a non-transferable resin, when placed at the entrance to sensitive areas they compel pedestrian traffic to step-on and step-off the mat. The physical pressure of standing on the mat ensures that any loose particles on the soles of the shoe are detached and remain in the resin. As the layer becomes saturated with dirt it can be simply peeled away to reveal a new clean layer. Heavy Duty Rubber Framed Mats have 30 layers per mat in the following sizes.

Polymesh 150

is a clear reinforced non flame

retardant waterproof polythene sheet, slip and tear resistant membrane. Manufactured by cast extrusion coated LDPE onto woven monofilament yarns for extra strength making it ideal floor protection for covering large areas, also suitable for temporary glazing on site because of its durability it can be stapled to window frames and will allow daylight

through the clear polythene.

Megafilm and MegaShield

protection materials are available in STD and LPS 1207. Available in several grades which span a range of protection applications from heavy duty site conditions through to protection from dust, debris and liquid spills. All Flame Retardant products comply with the National Building Specification (NBS) JCT and GCW Preliminaries

clauses. Flame Retardant grades are manufactured and certified under the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) approved scheme. All the grades give a high degree of slip resistance in accordance with COSHH, HSE recommendations. Megafilm and MegaShield products are backed by Megafilm technical support.

Sanitary Ware Protection

is manufactured from standard twin wall polypropylene sheet and is also available in Flame Retardant LPS1207 on request. Sheets are scored to facilitate folding to the shape of the item to be protected. Supplied individually, flat packed for ease of storage on site and encapsulated in a polythene sleeve to keep it clean prior to use. Our designers spent some time researching the sanitary ware market and came up with a size that we think will fit all. However if it is too big it is easily cut to size with a trimming knife. Bath Protectors

one end of the bath protector can be cut on site to suit the tap size and then pushed into place. Once the protector has been cut to size it can be moved from plot to plot and can be reused many times.

Sanitary Ware Protection is designed to be re-used many times.

Because of the unique slot together assembly of all the items in the range they can be disassembled after use and stored flat and then reassembled at a later date and re-used.

Basin Protectors

come flat packed in one standard size. They can be cut to suit all types of basin, from full size main bathroom basin to cloakroom flat to the wall, the protector should then fit snugly around the pedestal. Once a house set has been cut they can be reused many times.

Steel Door Protection Packs

have been developed for the volume house builder to reduce costly damage and unnecessary repairs to pre-hung steel door sets. Each pack contains 20 polythene door sleeves and 20 door protection panels made from 4mm thick TwinShield twinwall protection board. Each door panel is supplied with long magnetic strips to securely fix the panel to metal doors.

Door Cill Protectors

can be quickly and easily installed to most types of external door cills and can be left in place for the duration of the build without impeding the locking and security of the door. The door cill protector is manufactured from highly visible yellow self-extinguishing PVC, with an anti-slip pyramid design that provides a high degree of impact protection.

This one size fits all cill protector can be used on most external doorframes, including front and back doors, and personnel garage door cills and will provide full cover protection to the door cills saving on costly repairs, repainting and even replacement.

The door cill protector should be placed on the door cill front edge and securely fixed with screws. An indicator line has been scored in the top of the cover approximately 145mm from front edge as a guide. The screw holes left behind when the cover has been removed should be covered up by the weather plate.

Both flame retardant and standard polythene door sleeves allow all types of doors, single, double, standard and fire doors to remain in operation whilst preventing cosmetic damage. Both standard & flame retardant polythene sleeves are manufactured in a universal size that allows the sleeve to be fitted to most metric and imperial doors with ease. Any surplus film can be folded over the top of the door and should be secured with flame retardant tape to ensure a snug fit, this will allow the door to remain in operation whilst preventing cosmetic damage.

Where impact resistance is needed, door sleeves can be used in conjunction with standard or flame retardant door size TwinShield sheets.

Flooring Tape

is a general purpose tape for joining product to product. Manufactured from a very strong unplasticised PVC film, coated with an aggressive natural rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive. Used as a general purpose tape on FloorShield, TwinShield, and corrugated cardboard etc. Contact our sales office for further details on custom printing on adhesive tapes.

High Tack Standard and Flame Retardant Tape

generally used in the construction industry for polythene jointing and shuttering tape. It does however have many other uses. Flame Retardant High Tack should be used for jointing of LPS1207 flame retardant protection materials.

Easi-Peel Standard and Flame Retardant

PVC Protection Tape

is manufactured from plasticised polyvinyl chloride film and coated with a high quality adhesive. This tape can be used on glass for short periods of up to 2 weeks and can be used on most other surfaces up to 4 weeks. Easi-Peel is widely used in construction to fix protection materials to none porous surfaces without leaving a residue. Easi-Peel protection tape has a unique grooved surface finish across the width which allows the tape to be torn but this does not

compromise its lateral strength and has proved to be a very effective protection tape.

Easi-Mask

is a strip of masking tape with a polythene liner attached that can be used to protect tiles and other finished surfaces from dust and decorating splashes. Artstone Protection for Traditional

has been developed to replace plastic DPC which is widely used as artstone protection, although it offers no impact resistance, the only other alternative has been home made timber profiles which are time consuming and expensive in labour and materials to produce.

Hessian Frost Protection

is used in the building and construction industries to cover concrete and brickwork structures to provide protection against frost damage. Hessian can also be dampened down in hot weather to slow the drying process to avoid cracking.

Mortar Tubs

are available in SINGLE and DOUBLE SKIN options (see table below for details). All the tubs are suitable for moving mortar safely around a site.

Rigid, strong, durable and made from high quality polyethylene, our mortar bins have rigidity under load achieved by radiused and roll formed corners. All the tubs are tested and certified for capacity and weight and can be lifted

Frost Blankets

are manufactured from closed cell hardwearing and re-usable expanded polyethylene and is a safeguard against the damaging effects of frost on new concrete. The large roll sizes give you

both ease of handling on site and economy of covering large areas. Frost blankets do not absorb water and will float, which makes them suitable for use as a temporary cover on swimming pools in refurbishment projects but should be used in
