Now in our seventh year, The Drum Network

Awards wants to hear how your agency has

grown as a business and delivered results for

yoaur clients and perhaps in December you’ll get

an early Christmas present in the shape of one of

our coveted Drum Network Awards that proves

you belong not just on the good list, but on the

THE DRUM NETWORK

The Drum Network is an organisation that helps make marketing services agencies more successful – by giving them the skills and tools to build a higher profile and the knowledge to increase their profits.

The Drum Network Awards (previously known as the MiAwards) are now in their seventh year and aim to give ambitious agencies the opportunity to raise their profile on a national stage and show clients that not only can they create highly effective marketing campaigns, but they are also well run, managed and led businesses in their own right.

WHO CAN ENTER?

Entries to The Drum Network Awards are invited from all marketing services, creative and communications agencies based in the UK regardless of size, age, discipline or geographic location.

• To demonstrate your skills and talent to current and potential clients and partners

• To stand out from your competitors as an award-winning marketing agency

• To gain fantastic PR opportunities for your agency

• To boost the morale of the staff throughout your business and to help attract the best industry talent in the

WHAT WORK IS ELIGIBLE?

Entries that are made must be submitted to The Drum Network by All ‘Marketing’ entries must have been live to the market between 11th September 2014 and 10th September 2015. Entries do not have to have been created during this time frame.

You may enter as many categories as you wish, however each entry must be treated as a separate entry and payment must be made for each.

HOW TO ENTER THE DRUM NETWORK AWARDS 1. Visit www.thedrum.com/networkawards

2. Browse the Business, Marketing Strategy and Area categories to decide which category/categories suit you best.

3. If you are a Drum Network member then log-in, if not then visit www.thedrum.com/network to find out more about

membership and how to enter the DNAs. You do not have to be a member to enter.

4. Follow the on screen instructions to upload your entries and make payment.

5. Once your entries are received and payment is authorised, confirmation will be sent to you via email.

6. An invoice will be sent by post for your records after this step. If you wish to pay by cheque, please make your cheque payable to Carnyx Group Ltd, please leave your entries in your basket, post your cheque to Nikki Gillies, The Drum Network Awards, Carnyx Group, 4th Floor, Mercat Building, 26 Gallowgate, Glasgow, G1 5AB.

WRITING YOUR REPORT

We aim to make entering the Drum Network Awards as simple and as easy as possible. Those taking part simply have to write a 1,000 word report detailing their business or marketing success over the last 12 months. An entry template has been created for you and can be downloaded from www.thedrum. com/network. The judges will be looking for examples of:

• Innovative thinking

• Excellent service

• Strong results (wherever possible backed up with financial

BUSINESS AND REGIONAL CATEGORIES

Your report should be split into the following sections:

• Overview – (250 words) A short paragraph to give the judges an overview of your business and to create an impression of you as an agency

• Company Details (Will remain confidential) – Annual turnover, staff numbers, key clients, new clients and new hires

• Business Strategy or Challenges – Details of how these were overcome

• Key Business Successes of the Last year – Provide

information on what were the company highlights over the eligibility period

• Client Information – Give details of up to 5 campaigns/ pieces of work you have carried out over the eligible dates

MARKETING CATEGORIES

Your report should be split into the following sections:

• Overview – (250 words) The purpose of the executive summary is to ensure that the judges get an immediate overview of your report. It should be punchy and summarise the main points of your report and grab the judge’s attention

• The Challenges You Faced/ Campaign Objectives – Should detail the challenges that your client face, to which you found a marketing solution

• Details of how Challenges were Overcome – What did you do to face the challenges discussed earlier in your report

• What you achieved – What results did your actions achieve and did they meet objectives

• When writing your report don’t assume that the judges know your company.

• Give clear concise statements in the report

GENERAL RULES

All ‘Marketing’ category entries must:

1. have been live to market between 11th September 2014 to 10th September 2015. Entries do not have to be created within this timescale. Entries cannot have been entered previously.

2. Do not include password protection.

3. All submissions must be made online.

4. Work entered into more than one category must be treated as a completely separate entry.

5. Multiple entries can be made but payment must be made for each.

6. All entries must be supplied and conform to category rules/submission formats. Entries must be received by no later than 5pm Thursday 11th September 2015. Please note that we cannot guarantee that entries received after this deadline will be considered.

7. Entries are only open to companies based within the UK.

GALA DINNER & CEREMONY

The results of this year’s Drum Network Awards will be announced at a black tie dinner to be held on the 3rd December in the Emirates Stadium in London. This event will serve as the Grand Finale to The Drum Network’s annual series of events and is the ideal opportunity for members to gather together to share their experiences from what will no doubt have been another challenging year.
