Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine
The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine recently approved for use in the U.S. was developed, tested and is produced with abortion-derived cell lines. The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith has judged that ‘when ethically irreproachable Covid-19 vaccines are not available, it is morally acceptable to receive Covid-19 vaccines that have used cell lines from aborted fetuses in their research and production process.’ However, if one can choose among equally safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines, the vaccine with the least connection to abortion-derived cell lines should be chosen. Therefore, if one has the ability to choose a vaccine, Pfizer or Moderna’s vaccines should be chosen over Johnson & Johnson’s.
No Taxpayer Abortion

While this ministry is not a bereavement group, our mission is to offer support and hope through scripture in a time of transformation. The group is open to parents or grandparents who have lost a child.

Shadow of the Father
I would like to explore the nature of St. Joseph’s exalted vocation with the assistance of Father Rondet. The insight he offers in his work, St. Joseph, is that of the “shadow of the Father.” What he means by this is that when Our Lady and Jesus looked upon St. Joseph, they saw in him an icon or shadow of God the Father. Quite an insight!
But think about it, after Our Lady’s mission to be the Mother of God, there was no more exalted mission in the history of salvation than that of St. Joseph. To be the husband of the Mother of God and daddy to the Son of God. Can you imagine?!
The principle in Theology concerning missions and vocations is this: when God calls a soul to an exalted mission or vocation, He always provides the grace that is necessary to accomplish it. In the case of St. Joseph, as husband to Our Lady
and father to the Son of God, God the Father provided him with the graces which were necessary to accomplish that mission and vocation. And friends, that mission and vocation was unlike any other. To be God’s daddy? To safeguard the perpetual virginity of the Mother of God? What sublime virtue and holiness would be required for such an exalted mission.
To be a shadow of the Father, for the Mother of God and the Son of God... It is a mystery which will only be revealed in Heaven, but suffice it to say, St. Joseph is the greatest saint, after Our Lady, with the most exalted vocation and mission there has ever been in the history of salvation. So let us go to Joseph (Gen. 41:55)!
