Provided leadership for all aspects of graduate, extended and lifelong learning. Partnered with faculty and staff to implement new models of teaching across the university. Developed alternative course delivery modalities, including online, blended, hybrid, multi-modal, short- semester, and off-campus sites. Bolstered summer and winter course offerings and partnered with industry and businesses to develop workforce-centric programming. Engaged alumni through enrichment courses and discipline-focused training. Increased the number of internship and experiential learning sites. Implemented articulation and affiliation

agreements with partner institutions in the US and abroad. Provided oversight for faculty-led study abroad programs. Led strategic visioning for Graduate Admissions, Extended Learning, Career Development Center, and University Library.

Led academic enterprise, resource allocation, and community engagement for 110 faculty, 11 staff, 1,600 undergraduate and graduate students in five departments: Art & Design; Art Education; Communication Studies; Cinema, Television, and Media Production; Music.

Led strategic planning and visioning while achieving fiscal efficiencies ($13M unit budget) using data-informed and emotionally centered decision-making processes to increase net revenue of unit by $2M. Developed a culture of collaboration, flexibility, and cooperation, emphasizing synergies by sharing information, power, and resources. Strategically merged Art and Communication Design departments into the Department of Art & Design to share

resources, create synergies, and reduce expenses. Managed personnel, including recruitment, retention, and support of highly qualified and diverse tenure, tenure track, and contingent faculty. Conducted annual, tenure, promotion, and post-tenure reviews. Expanded academic partnerships with community colleges and universities, creating 2+2 (associate to bachelor’s) and 4+1 (bachelor’s to master’s) pathways. Developed partnerships with technical high schools for accelerated bachelor’s degree attainment. Designed accelerated pathways for dual master’s degrees. Developed curricula to reach diverse audiences: BA in Music/Music Business (non-audition, hybrid format), and sub-baccalaureate certificates in Social Media Strategies (online), Digital Video Production (online), and Television Production (hybrid).

Expanded BA in Communication Studies to include degree options in campus, hybrid, or online program enrollment. Redesigned MEd in Art Education (online) with concurrent PK-12 certification. Created exchange program in cinema, television, and media production with HSNC University (Mumbai, India). Collaborate with deans and directors at state system and private institutions to share courses and cross-register students across universities. Aligned college assessment processes with curricular and resource planning. Developed student recruitment, retention, and persistence strategies to foster annual enrollment increases and above-average completion rates. Initiated cross-disciplinary faculty mentoring program and professional development opportunities for faculty, staff, and administrators. Supported student and faculty research and creative endeavors, including internal and external grant applications, marketing, and promotion of projects. Implemented innovative, industry- focused learning facilities for art and design (IDEA Studio) and social media studies (SMASH:

Social Media Analytics Strategic Hub). Strategized with Kutztown University Foundation on fundraising initiatives for endowed scholarships, apprenticeships, and capital projects, including a $6.4M center for music research. Developed Kutztown University Arts Society, a university/community partnership to celebrate the arts.

Transformed enrollment management processes and implemented a student success program to bolster recruitment, retention, and on-time graduation rates. Implemented data- informed decision-making processes to guide strategic planning, fundraising, and budgeting ($11M unit budget). Collaborated with faculty leadership to develop course offerings;

recruited and evaluated faculty and staff for annual, tenure, promotion, and post-tenure reviews. Extended partnership agreements with school districts and community service agencies in Pennsylvania, Alaska, and Arizona. College of Visual and Performing Arts, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania Associate Dean, 2012-2017

Created a culture of data-informed decision-making in the college. Redesigned and led VPA Early Intervention and Student Success Program for at-risk and academically challenged students; achieved retention (12%) and graduation rates (13%) above university average, with similar rates for persistence/continuation. Collaborated with student affairs leaders on student support initiatives. Led strategic planning in the development and implementation of new curricula: BA in Art History, BFA in Applied Digital Arts, MA in Arts Administration (online), MEd in Music Education (online), BS in Art Education/Alternative Settings, BA in Music/Commercial Music, BA in Music/Performance, BS in Social Media Theory and Strategy;

minors in Art Education, Audio Engineering, Jazz Studies, Music History, Studio Art, and Social Media Theory and Strategy. Oversaw reformatting curricula to meet student needs: MFA in Communication Design (three-year, low-residency model) and BA in Communication Studies (online). Led successful 10-year reaccreditation for the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). Prepared plan

approval, final approval for listing, and substantive change applications for new curricula approval with NASAD, NASM, and Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

Created a collaborative program in music with the University of Macedonia (Thessaloniki, Greece). Collaborated to update academic policies related to double majors, readmission, and attendance. Lead recruitment strategies that impacted enrollment, notably a 29%

increase (68 students) in first-year student deposits for AY 2017-18 and a sustained level of deposits through AY 2021-22.

The University of Mary is a private, not-for-profit institution, Doctoral/Professional Universities, enrolling 3,800 students in campus-based, satellite, and online programs.

Implemented annual student learning outcome assessment process and managed program reviews for departments of Biology, Catholic Studies, Communications, Human and Social Sciences, Languages and Literature, Mathematics and Engineering, Music, Physical Sciences, Theology and Philosophy, a campus in Rome, Italy, and the entire General Education

curriculum. Examined faculty effectiveness, curricular structures, departmental missions, strategic planning, budgetary allocations, and program goals. Attained National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) initial accreditation.

Led academic enterprise, resource allocation, and community engagement for 5 full-time and 12 part-time faculty, 1 staff, 45 undergraduate majors.

Implemented new degree programs – BA in Music, BA in Music/Sacred, and BM in Music Performance; completely redesigned BS in Music Education to combine four tracks into a single comprehensive K-12 music education certification while reducing overall credits by 10%. Increased enrollment of music majors by 124% over three years. Increased first-year retention from 22% to 85%. Attained over 80% four-year graduation rate. Organized Music Mentors to increase student collaboration, success, retention, and on-time graduation rates.

Chartered National Association for Music Education (NAfME) student chapter. Developed strategic plan and implemented transparent budget process ($700,000 unit budget).

Overhauled music scholarship process and participated in fundraising. Quantified student learning outcome assessment processes. Oversaw 20-25 outreach concerts annually for diverse audiences from differing backgrounds: faith tradition, culture, socio-economic status, identity, age, and ethnicity.
