Kurt E. Reiman

Head of Thematic Research–Americas

Kurt holds a master’s degree in international relations from the School of Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University, where he specialized in international economics. He received his bachelor’s degree in business from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where he specialized in economics and international business.

Kurt Reiman heads the thematic research group within UBS Wealth Management Research in the Americas. As senior editor of “UBS research focus”, one of WMR’s flagship research publications, he has published on a wide range of issues, including demographics, climate change, natural resource scarcity, infrastructure and emerging markets. Kurt began his career with UBS in 1999 when he joined the predecessor firm PaineWebber in New York as an associate in the fixed income strategy team. He later built the firm’s US preferred securities research platform. He and his family lived in Zurich, Switzerland from May 2006 to January 2010.

Before joining UBS, Kurt held positions in economic and financial market research at Reuters in Stamford, CT.

Mr. Reiman has been featured in national and international media outlets, such as The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters, The Globe and Mail and NZZ. He regularly shares his findings as a featured speaker at UBS events and has also appeared on CNBC, the Business News Network and the PBS Nightly Business Report.

Douglas B. Tumminello

Doug Tumminello is an attorney at the Denver law firm Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP, where he is a partner in the firm’s business litigation group. Doug has led mountaineering expeditions to mountains around the world. In 2006, Doug was the team leader of an expedition that scaled Mt. Everest via the Southeast Ridge route. Despite experiencing great difficulties, he stood atop Mt. Everest’s summit early in the morning of May 23, 2006. Also in 2009, Doug was on an 8-person crew that rowed a 36’ ocean rowing boat across the Indian Ocean. The crew was at sea for 58 days and set the Guinness World Record for the fastest row of the Indian Ocean, a total of 3,600 miles. Doug is now planning a re-creation of Ernest Shackleton’s desperate open-boat crossing of the treacherous Southern Ocean between Antarctica and South Georgia Island.

Renee Moorefield, Ph.D.

Renee founded Wisdom Works on the belief that business leaders hold the key to a global shift in human consciousness. They are most effective when they explore leadership and lifestyle strategies aimed not just at healthy profits, but also healthy people and a healthy world. An established speaker and writer, Renee has addressed international conferences, published dozens of articles, and co-wrote the book Driven by Wellth: The 7 essentials for healthy, sustainable results in 21st century business & leadership. Renee’s trilogy of degrees reflects the core principles of Wisdom Works: she holds a doctorate in spirituality (with a focus on integral leadership), a master’s in business and human relations, and a bachelor’s in physiology and health education. She is an ICF Master Certified Coach and is certified in Spiral Dynamics. She also holds a certification in Global Strategy from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
