learning new skills.
In this module, you will learn to do the following:

Use courteous expressions in conducting a club
meeting

Follow printed directions in filling up school forms
•
Fill out information sheet, blank deposit and withdrawal
slips correctly

A. You have learned in your past lessons how important it is to follow directions. Do this in your notebook and prove that you know how to follow directions.
1. Draw a big rectangle at the middle of your paper.
2. On top of the rectangle, draw a triangle with its base as long as the length of the triangle.
3. At the middle of the triangle draw a circle.
4. Draw two squares positioned side by side inside the rectangle.
5. Draw a vertical rectangle between the squares.

A. Read and take note of the courteous expressions used in the meeting. The Save for the Future Club is conducting a meeting for the election of new officers and registration of new members.
Aldwin Tomagan : Good morning fellow members. Members : Good morning Aldwin.
Aldwin Tomagan : We are going to elect our new club officers today. May I request volunteers for secretary and temporary chairman?
Vince Carlos : I suggest that the former president be the temporary election chairman.

Mariel Cruz : I second the motion. Aldwin Tomagan, the former president and Vince Carlos to act as temporary secretary.
Aldwin Tomagan : The meeting may please come to order. The table is now open for nomination of president. Vince Carlos : I respectfully nominate Marvin Villarama for
president. (Writes name of the nominee) Aldwin Tomagan : Any more nominations?
Mariel Cruz : I respectfully nominate Ted Felipe.
Aldwin Tomagan : Ted Felipe has been nominated. Anymore? Ana Sarmiento : I move that the nomination be closed. Mariel Cruz : I second the motion.
(Vince Carlos writes the name of Ted Felipe)
Aldwin Tomagan : The nomination for president has been moved and seconded. The nomination for president is therefore closed. Let’s put the candidates for election. Those who are in favor of Ted Felipe may please raise their right hands.
(Vince counts the number of hands raised and writes the number opposite his name)

Marvin Villarama : Thank you all for your vote of confidence in me. We shall now proceed with the registration of new members. Ted shall distribute the information sheets to you. Please fill it up and submit it to our new secretary.

Miss Ramona Manalo: Good morning kids! I am happy that there is a club like Save for the Future, which I know have young members who value the importance of saving. For the new members, I would be distributing deposit slips toady. Please fill them up at home and visit our bank, Batang Filipino Savings Bank for your initial deposits. For the others, I can give you both deposit and withdrawal slips in case you would need to transact with our bank in the future.

1. Be sure to read the printed directions before starting.
2. Ask someone who knows items you do not understand before writing.
3. Strictly follow directions. 4. Write clearly and legibly.
5. Exercise accuracy and write honest information.
6. Keep forms neat and clean. Forms with erasures are questionable. Initial wrong entries especially on bank forms.
