Installing TAC Vista FM

Vista FM is divided into two different groups of programs: Vista FM Windows and Vista FM Web.

Vista FM Windows handles the Vista FM database. By using the Base module in Vista FM Windows, new objects can be added and deleted in the Vista FM database. The different Vista FM modules make it possi-ble to see log values from Vista, keep track of maintenance, handle doc-uments, and more.

Vista FM Web makes it possible to connect to Vista FM database using the Internet. You can not change, add, or remove objects in the Vista FM database using Vista FM Web. Therefore, when you are installing a Web solution you have to install both the Vista FM Web and the Vista FM Windows.

In the example, we will install a Web solution. If you do not want to install a Web solution, ignore Section 3.2, “Installing TAC Vista FM Web”, on page 16.

3.1
