Consent and Authorization for Electronic Delivery of Account Statements, Documents, Disclosures and Other Communications (e-Documents)
When you sign up for the Service through eCredit Union, you agree that for all of your checking, statement savings, money market, loan and any other statement accounts that are enrolled in eCredit Union now or in the future, as well as any other statement accounts whose account activity is combined with these accounts, you will thereafter receive your periodic account statements electronically. Your electronic statements will contain the same content as the paper version that you have been receiving, which includes: account balances, transaction activity, electronic funds transfer information, year-to-date interest, and error notification procedures. The choice (paper or e-Documents) that is recorded on our system on the day the statement is generated will be the only statement method used to deliver that month's statement(s).
In addition, when you sign up for our e-Document Delivery Service through eCredit Union, you further agree that other documents, disclosures and communications related to any or all of your deposit or loan accounts with the Credit Union may also be sent to you electronically via the e-Document Delivery Service.
You understand that pursuant to your account and/or loan agreements with the Credit Union, you may be entitled to receive periodic account statements in connection with your Account, such as savings account statements, and/or loan statements. By indicating your acceptance of these terms and conditions, you authorize the Credit Union to discontinue sending you such account statements via postal mail service for your account(s) and to instead deliver such account statements to you electronically (e-Documents). You understand and agree that the Credit Union will send you an e-mail on an ongoing basis to your primary e-mail address, as provided in your eCredit Union profile, notifying you that your e-Documents are ready to be viewed via the eCredit Union service. You understand and agree that you will no longer receive paper copies of your account statements.
You further understand and agree that:
1. You are the authorized signer of the accounts. Your electronic signature executed in conjunction with this Agreement shall be legally binding and any transaction performed pursuant to this Agreement shall be considered authorized by you. You agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as requested and agree to not misrepresent your identity.
3. Your ongoing consent to receive subsequent account statements electronically is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time. Subject to the Credit Union's confirmation of your request, such withdrawal shall become effective no later than fifteen (15) days after receipt by the Credit Union. Upon termination, you understand and agree that you will no longer have access to your account statements online and that you will receive all account statements in paper form via postal mail service.
4. You have and will maintain a printer capable of printing any Documents that are e-mailed to you and/or made available through the Credit Union's eCredit Union service. In the alternative, you have and will maintain the ability to electronically save and visually display on your computer any e-Documents. You understand that the Credit Union recommends that you print or save a copy of this Agreement for your records.
5. You agree that in no event will the Credit Union be liable for any technical, hardware or software failure of any kind, any interruption in the availability of this service, any delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, loss of data or other similar loss.
6. The Credit Union is not liable for any third party-incurred fees, other legal liability, or any other issues or liabilities arising from e-Documents or notifications sent to an invalid or inactive e-mail address or postal address that you have provided.
7. You understand and agree that by signing up for e-Documents, you may no longer receive your loan statements by mail. You will still be responsible for making all loan payments on a timely basis. You further understand and agree that you will be responsible for making all loan payments pursuant to the terms and conditions of the loan agreements and disclosures which may be revised from time to time and remain effective for all other aspects of the account involved.
8. You may also request a paper copy of any account statement. A fee may be charged for such paper copies, subject to the Credit Union's Schedule of Fees.
9. You understand and agree that the Credit Union reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this Agreement. The Credit Union will notify you before the effective date of any change. Review of Periodic eStatements
You must promptly access and review your e-Statement and any accompanying items and notify the Credit Union in writing immediately of any error, unauthorized transaction, or any other irregularity. If you allow someone else to access your statement, you are still fully responsible to review the statement for any errors, unauthorized transactions, or any other irregularities. Any applicable time periods within which you must notify the Credit Union of any errors on your account statement(s) shall begin on the e-Document email notification date regardless of when you access and/or review your e-Statement. If you do not immediately report to the Credit Union any non-receipt of e-Documents or any error, irregularity, discrepancies, claims or unauthorized debits or items, you shall be deemed conclusively to have accepted all matters contained in the e-Documents to be true, accurate and correct in all respects.
We will send an email to the email address that you have on file in the "Profile” section of the "Account Services” feature in eCredit Union to advise you when your e-Document is available for viewing. In addition, we will include a link in this email to the Credit Union's website where you can sign-on to eCredit Union and access your e-Document via the "e-Documents” button located on the main "Accounts” page.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the "Profile” feature within eCredit Union contains your current email address. Once you have updated your email address in the "Profile” feature, it is also your responsibility to update this email address in the e-Document Delivery Service by simply accessing the e-Document Delivery Service one time after you have made this change. However, if you do not wish to receive email notification regarding document availability on some or all of your deposit or loan accounts, you may terminate the email notification by clicking on "Email Notification of Document Availability” in the box on the right side of the "e-Document” page within the e-Document Delivery Service and then clicking off any email notifications that you no longer wish to have sent to you.
Account Statements
Your account statements will become available through the Service shortly after the end of your statement cycle period. In the case of checking or money market accounts if you receive images with your account statement, the account statement may be available to you even before all of the images of your cancelled checks have been processed for the statement cycle period. However, the Service is updated multiple times each day and as soon as your check images are processed, they will be made available to you through the Service.
Your account statements will become available through the Service incrementally each month after you enroll in the Service. Statements will be available for twelve (12) months and thereafter the oldest statement will be deleted when the most recent statement becomes available through the Service. If you wish to retain your statements for a longer period of time, you should download them to your computer or print them during the twelve (12) months that they are available through the Service. If you request a paper copy of either your account statement or any check referenced in that statement from us, we will provide a legible copy within a reasonable period of time. Applicable service charges may be assessed in accordance with the River Works Credit Union Fee Schedule.
