Virtual environments are growing in the SMB market.
Virtualiza-tion enables computers to run multiple operating systems and
ap-plications making your infrastructure simpler, more efficient and
cost effective. The role of backup and disaster recovery gets more
important as physical servers and storage are consolidated.
Tandberg Data and Veeam have partnered to provide you with a turnkey backup solution for virtual environments based on Tandberg Data’s solutions and Veeam Backup & Replication software.

RDX® QuikSTaTion™ anD Tape auToMaTion
The RDX® QuikStation™ is a removable disk-based storage system that combines the advantages
of RDX removable disk technology with iSCSI network connectivity and storage automation in one product. With its iSCSI interface, the RDX QuikStation removable disk array integrates seamlessly into virtualized environments and is a more flexible alternative to existing backup devices.
Tandberg Data’s broad range of tape automation products fit perfectly into disaster recovery strategies. Whether your environment is a small business that would benefit by deploying the 1U 8-slot LTO-Autoloader or the 2U StorageLibrary T24 with 12 or 24 slots, or yours is a midsize or larger organization that could benefit from the robust StorageLibrary T40+ which scales from 24 to 188 slots, Tandberg Data’s range of tape automation solutions integrates into every environment.

The RDX QuikStation drives are recognized by Veeam as Removable Disk Devices which enable selection of a retention policy that specifies the number of restore points Veeam will retain on the RDX disk. In the example above, the most recent 14 restore points will be retained on the RDX cartridge and Veeam will indicate the total number of restore points that are available on the existing cartridge. When a new RDX cartridge is introduced, Veeam will indicate zero available restore points and initiate a new backup operation.
