A Letter to Prospective Students

Spring 2015

Dear Prospective Family,

Thank you for your interest in Vista Ridge Academy. We are pleased that you have taken the time to see what we have to offer and would welcome an opportunity to answer any questions you might have after reading through the enclosed registration and admission information.

Vista Ridge Academy offers a comprehensive program in a loving Christian atmosphere. We carefully maintain an ideal student/teacher ratio and pride ourselves in our strong academic programming. Classroom instruction follows a curriculum containing a complete scope and sequence of subjects including language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, Bible, and physical education. Our music program provides excellent oppurtunities for students to gain and expand their musical talent through choir, band, hand bells, and strings. Junior High and academy students enjoy an active student association as well as extracurricular and vonlunteer activites. Our beautiful facility includes a state-of- the-art networked computer lab, full-size collegiate gymnasium, commercial kitchen, and library.

Registration Process

Step 1

1. Complete and return the application 2. Review the Tuition and Fees Schedule

3. Request that a former teacher, principal, pastor, or organizational leader

(i.e. coach or scout leader) complete one of the attached Recommendation Forms on behalf of the prospective student.

Step 2

The school will check references and then call you to set up an appointment with the Admissions Committee.

Step 3

The school will notify you regarding your acceptance or non-acceptance after all requested information has been submitted.

Step 4

Upon acceptance please complete and return the following items:

Tuition and Fees for the 2014-2015 school year

The following is the list of tuition, fees, and expenses for the 2014-2015 school year as well as the discounts and incentives available to those who qualify. Fees listed apply to the current school year only and may be updated as needed for future school years.

Entrance Fees

Entrance Fees are non-refundable.

Discounts

A discount of $25.00 is given if the application and entrance fee are received by June 30.

A discount of 1% is given to students who pay the entire semester in advance A discount of 2% is given to students who pay the entire year in advance.

There is a multi-student discount of:

2% per child if 2 students in a family are enrolled

4% per child if 3 or more students in a family are enrolled

Student Referral Program

Spring 2015

The purpose of this program is to provide a discount to existing Vista Ridge Academy families for promoting Vista Ridge Academy and encouraging the application for Admission to Vista Ridge Academy in their churches, Bible studies, neighborhoods and work places.

Yes, we are looking for qualified NEW families, but we also care deeply about our current families and how Vista Ridge Academy is perceived by our community. As we strive to broaden our reach in the our communities, please take prayerful consideration to represent Christ and Vista Ridge Academy well as you share with potential new families. Your family is eligible for a $300 tuition credit for each NEW student that completes registration for the 2014/2015 school year. Please note, the following conditions must be satisfied in order for the credit to be given.

Student Referral Policy

1. The Referral Program shall be open to all Vista Ridge Academy Families.

2. It is the Referral Family’s responsibility to be sure that the Prospective Family mention this program and the Referring Family’s name during their initial contact with the Admissions Office (in-person or via our Online Referral Form. To ensure this occurs, you may choose to accompany families to the office and/or assist in making the initial contact using our Online Referral Form.

3. It is the Referral Family’s responsibility to be sure that the Prospective Family verifies their name and phone number on the student’s application form in the box marked “Referral Verification”. No exceptions will be made to this requirement.

4. As part of the Admissions Application, the Referral Family will submit a completed Student Referral Form. Forms are available at the Administrative Offices or via our website www.vistaridge.org

5. Referral tuition discount amounts are as follows:

- Grades Pre K-12 (full-time/full-tuition) qualify for the full referral discount ($300/student) - Pre-K (2 and 3 day) qualifies for a $150 total discount per student.

6. This offer applies only to NEW family applicants. Younger siblings of current or past Vista Ridge families do not qualify.

7. Vista Ridge Academy Families will receive a tuition credit for each student referred that is accepted, enrolled, and maintains enrollment after the first six weeks of school.

8. There is no limit to the number of students that a Vista Ridge Academy family may refer.

9. The regular enrollment criteria must be met (Application/Testing/Principal Interview).

10. This program will be in effect all throughout the year. If a new family enrolls a first-time student mid-year as a result of your referral, you will receive a one-time discount off of your tuition once that student has attended six weeks

of classes at Vista Ridge.

NOTE: REFERRALS CANNOT BE MADE RETROACTIVELY
