EXECUTIVE MBA
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM
PART TIME
IN COOPERATION WITH ESCP-EAP EUROPEAN SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT
«BI Norwegian School of Management and ESCP-EAP have decided to embark on a long-term cooperation based on reciprocal esteem and a shared philo- sophy regarding management educati- on in a global context: high academic value, strong professional orientation and significant multicultural exposure.
By participating in the Executive MBA program offered by BI, as part of your curriculum you will participate in five international seminars (five weeks in all) and in six specific workshops of the ESCP-EAP European Executive MBA.
You will thus have the opportunity to interact with the participants on the ESCP-EAP program, who come from all over Europe and some non-European countries, thus giving your MBA a
strong multicultural dimension.
Provided that you complete all the aca- demic requirements of the program, you will be awarded two degrees: the BI Executive MBA and the ESCP-EAP European Executive MBA.»

Dean of the European Executive MBA ESCP-EAP
WELCOME TO THE EXECUTIVE MBA PROGRAM
«The vision of BI Norwegian School of Management is to be a leading research-based management school in Europe. The school’s fundamental stra- tegy is therefore to emphasize the inter- play between research, education and management, both in the public and private sector, in an international con- text. Management and leadership in today’s world must have this global per- spective and no enterprise, whether pri- vate or public, can ignore it if they want to be successful. This will be even more the case in the future and hence, management training must also have this global perspective. It is in this con- text that BI Norwegian School of Management has entered into a joint executive MBA program with the well- known business school ESCP-EAP in Paris.
The 18-months module-based program follows the successful international EMBA program that ESCP-EAP has run for a number of years. It offers mana-
gers a chance to develop their skills in leadership and management through the interaction with fellow participants of diverse professional, personal and cultural backgrounds and an experien- ced, international faculty. I sincerely believe that completion of the program will give the individual participant a personal competitive edge in today’s market.»

BI Norwegian School of Management
The Executive MBA is designed as a part-time program and compatible with a full-time job. It is designed for participants with significant professional experience and managerial suc- cess, for whom, considering their positions, a career interrup- tion is inconceivable. This means that the participants will be able to continue in their job while simultaneously being part of an exciting international learning environment.
The program focuses on managerial action. It combines state- of-the-art theory with professional experience thanks to tea- ching methods, which constantly draw from both. It will further your knowledge in all management disciplines and develop
your skills in analysing management and organizational situa- tions, decision-making, conducting projects and leading teams.
In the BI/ESCP-EAP Executive MBA two strong academic insti- tutions are involved. This will enable its participants to interact actively with two academic environments and networks.
Completion of the requirements of the EMBA will earn you a double degree: one from BI Norwegian School of Management and one from ESCP-EAP, thus opening up the worldwide net- work of not one, but two well known and recognized instituti- ons.

«I looked for a high profile, demanding,
and international program while still
having a full work schedule»
«After more than 12 years of working in international banking I felt a need for more managerial competence as well as for a renewed, holistic view of business.
I chose the Executive MBA program at BI Norwegian School of Management because it meets my needs and, in addition, cooperation with ESCP-EAP gives the studies the desired inter- national profile. Moreover, the program provides an excellent opportunity to network with both my fellow students at BI as well as internationally with students at ESCP-EAP.»

«The lectures are an arena for the
reciprocal exchange of knowledge»
«Teaching an EMBA class is a dynamic experience. The partici- pants are very competent, highly motivated and have substan- tial work experience. This creates a powerful mix. The lectures are an arena for the reciprocal exchange of knowledge, far more than classic one-way teaching sessions. We rely much on cases that the participants have to prepare in advance, and which are used to ignite the discussion in class . This is where the actual learning unfolds, fusing academic contributions and practical experience into added value for all participants.
Group work is another important aspect of the teaching method. Much of the work that the participants hand in has to be formulated on a team basis. In order to be able to do so, they have to develop their communication, negotiation, and social skills in an international and culturally diverse group.»
