WiMAX Security Architecture

 The MS is authenticated with

EAP-TTLS method by means of the MS SW integrated supplicant

 The authentication server resides in the RADIUS server

 ASN-GW acts as mediation server (Authenticator)

 After successful authentication the RADIUS server provides keys to the BS via the ASN-GW

 Encryption is established over the WIMAX link

 User’s pre-defined service (SLA) is enabled
