SAP HANA APPROACH
Acuma’s approach to the SAP HANA Service provides an end-to-end capability from initial cost justification through to full implementation, configuration and performance tuning. Clients may wish to engage Acuma across the full end-to-end SAP HANA service, or at specific points in the implementation process.
2.1
SAP HANA Cost Justification
The cost justification phase is designed to provide a client with a detailed Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis to sit within a comprehensive Business Case supporting the migration to Oracle Exadata. Acuma’s consultants provide executive level briefing documents supporting the business case and, also, provide technology briefings to assist a client with HANA awareness. If the client wishes, Acuma can take responsibility for the development of the full business case for the SAP HANA implementation – see Acuma’s Business Case Development Service.
2.2
SAP HANA Roadmap and Planning
The SAP HANA Roadmap and Planning phase involves detailed analysis and documentation of the client’s existing infrastructure and application / data architecture. Acuma’s consultants then overlay details of the client’s proposed application developments / implementations, to ensure the HANA architecture supports future as well as current requirements.
This material is used to develop an optimised HANA architecture, from which a high level implementation / migration roadmap and detailed project plans can be developed.
2.3
SAP HANA Pre-Delivery and Configuration
The Pre-Delivery and Configuration phase is designed to provide specialist guidance through the complete configuration process, from initial site survey all the way through to configuration. Acuma applies best practices, tools and technology to deliver successful system implementations with highly trained consultants and proven, standardised installation methodologies.
2.4
SAP HANA Upgrade and Migration
The Upgrade and Migration phase is designed to provide specialist guidance through the re-platforming of an existing system or systems onto a SAP HANA architecture. Our consultants will work with the client to develop high-level approaches and detailed plans for both data and application migration, testing and go-live.
2.5
