Description
IBM Aspera Cargo Client V1.5 extends person-to-person file delivery workflows with automatic downloads of IBM Asperafaspexpackages using a familiar content feed-style interface. Users automatically receive packages from multiple faspex servers, with all downloads consolidated within a single client, enabling continuous workflows and eliminating data transfer delays.

• Automates receipt of digital deliveries, especially when content is sent in from multiple entities. This saves time and hassle, and reduces the risk of losing files due to human errors that occur in a manual download process.
• Enables fast, efficient collaboration between teams that are spread around the globe by enabling them to easily exchange large files or entire project directories using a familiar email-style workflow.
Highlights
• Automatically downloads packages sent to a user from multiple faspex servers, consolidating all incoming content and organizing the content based on user preferences.
• Features a familiar Atom feed paradigm for automatically downloading faspex packages with easy GUI controls for automatic decryption of downloaded packages.
• Provides real-time transfer rate monitoring and control for each download, allowing users to adjust transfer rates and pause, cancel, and resume transfers. IBM Aspera for Avid Interplay Plug In and IBM Aspera for Avid Transfer Manager Plug In enable integrated, high-speed transport of high resolution media between Avid Interplay Production workgroups, enabling near real-time collaboration. Users can share high resolution media and associated metadata between remote workgroups across a wide area network (WAN) by transferring video and metadata at line speed, regardless of distance, fully utilizing the available bandwidth. The solution is optimised for maximum speed retrieval and storage of media clips on Avid ISIS storage, with line speed WAN transfer at any distance, using the fast, adaptive, and secure protocal (FASP) transport platform. It also supports the complete check-out and check-in process required for coordinated transfers and collaboration.
Highlights
• With these new offerings, Avid Interplay Delivery and Avid Transfer Manager are able to initiate Aspera high-speed transfers from the source workgroup to the destination without requiring any special steps or processing by the user. This enables users to move just the files required, in just the way the receiving workgroup needs them. Users can select entire sequences or portions of sequences; select the desired delivery resolution and other settings in a stored profile; choose sequences, sub-clips, or even shot lists created in Avid Access and send them from the desktop.
• Avid Interplay Delivery and Avid Transfer Manager simplify and enable efficient interplay WAN proxy-editing workflows with a one-command transfer of all related media segments. Regardless of distance, type, or quality of the network connection, Aspera fully utilizes the available bandwidth and ensures the content is sent at maximum speed.
• File transfers occur with maximum bandwidth efficiency and are stable, robust, and predictable, even for the largest files and data sets, over the longest distances and networks with the worst conditions. Aspera Avid Plug In follows and adheres to the Avid standards for file transfers. It just plain works. • Aspera Avid Plug In works seamlessly within the existing Avid ecosystem. The
plug in supports the existing hardware and existing storage. The user interface remains unchanged. By supporting the existing ecosystem, Avid Interplay Production workgroups are able to utilize high-speed transport of high resolution media and associated metadata made possible by Aspera technology.
IBM Aspera Transfer Cluster Manager with Autoscale includes elastic automatic scaling of transfer hosts and client load balancing, cluster-wide reporting and transfer management, and a multitenant secure access key system. The offering allows for dynamic, real-time scale out of transfer capacity with automatic start and stop of transfer server instances, automatic balancing of client requests across available instances, and configurable service levels to manage maximum transfer load per instance, available idle instances for burst, and automatic decommissioning of unused instances.

IBM Aspera solutions Terabyte
Terabyte is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. A terabyte is 2 to the 40th power bytes. Licensee must obtain an entitlement for each terabyte available to the program. Instead of the entitlements required for the program directly, licensee must obtain terabyte entitlements for this program sufficient to cover the terabytes managed by the program.
Gigabyte
Gigabyte is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. A gigabyte is 2 to the 30th power bytes. Licensee must obtain an entitlement for each gigabyte available to the program. In addition to the entitlements required for the program directly, licensee must obtain gigabyte entitlements for this program sufficient to cover the gigabytes managed by the program. Petabyte is a unit of measure by which the program can be license.
Petabyte
Petabyte is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. A Pptabyte is 2 to the 50th power bytes. Licensee must obtain an entitlement for each petabyte available to the program. Instead of the entitlements required for the program directly, Licensee must obtain petabyte entitlements for this program sufficient to cover the petabytes managed by the program.
User Value Unit (UVU)
UVU is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. UVU Proofs of Entitlement (PoEs) are based on the number and type of users for the given program. Licensee must obtain sufficient entitlements for the number of UVUs required for licensee's environment as specified in the program specific table. The UVU entitlements are specific to the program and type of user and may not be exchanged, interchanged, or aggregated with UVU entitlements of another program or type of user. Refer to the program specific UVU table.
Install
Install is a unit of measure by which the program can be licensed. An Install is an installed copy of the program on a physical or virtual disk made available to be executed on a computer. Licensee must obtain an entitlement for each Install of the program.
Terms and conditions
The information provided in this announcement letter is for reference and
convenience purposes only. The terms and conditions that govern any transaction with IBM are contained in the applicable contract documents such as the IBM International Program License Agreement, IBM International Passport Advantage Agreement, and the IBM Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance. This product is only available via Passport Advantage.
Licensing
IBM International Program License Agreement including the License Information document and Proof of Entitlement (PoE) govern your use of the program. PoEs are required for all authorized use. Part number products only, offered outside of Passport Advantage, where applicable, are license only and do not include Software Maintenance.
This software license includes Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance).
Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance
These programs are licensed under the IBM Program License Agreement (IPLA) and the associated Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance, which provide for support with ongoing access to releases and versions of the programs. IBM includes one year of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) with the initial license acquisition of each program acquired. The initial period of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) can be extended by the purchase of a renewal option, if available. These programs have a one-time license charge for use of the program and an annual renewable charge for the enhanced support that includes electronic access to support and telephone assistance (voice support for defects during normal business hours) where available, as well as access to updates, releases, and versions of the program as long as support is in effect.

Note to IBM Resellers and IBM Distributors: When ordered by IBM Business Partners, orders for Aspera on Demand include overage part numbers where the charges for these part numbers are unknown at the time the order is processed by IBM (called "Monthly Licensing Subsequently Charged Part Number" (or MLSC Part Number). Business Partners will be invoiced for a MLSC Part Number if the user uses the monthly licensing offering in a manner that triggers charges for one or more of these part numbers that were included in the order. MLSC Part Numbers will be invoiced to Business Partners as subsequently incurred. Notwithstanding IBM's prior practice or process, when a Business Partner orders monthly licensing offerings with MLSC Part Numbers: (i) the order for these part numbers is firm and irrevocable upon the determination of such charges by IBM, (ii) Business Partner is obligated to pay such charges as invoiced, and (iii) Business Partner's payment to IBM for the invoices for these part numbers are not contingent upon issuance of a purchase order to IBM. If Business Partners do not agree with the monthly licensing ordering process regarding monthly licensing subsequently charged part numbers and the no-purchase order requirement for these part numbers, then they do not order monthly licensing offerings that include these part numbers.

Limited warranty
IBM warrants that when the program is used in the specified operating environment, it will conform to its specifications. The warranty applies only to the unmodified portion of the program. IBM does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the program or that IBM will correct all program defects. You are responsible for the results obtained from the use of the program.
IBM provides you with access to IBM databases containing information on known program defects, defect corrections, restrictions, and bypasses at no additional charge. For further information, consult the IBM Software Support Handbook found at

IBM will maintain this information for at least one year after the original licensee acquires the program (warranty period).
Money-back guarantee
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the program and you are the original licensee, you may obtain a refund of the amount you paid for it, if within 30 days of your invoice date you return the program and its PoE to the party from whom you obtained it. If you downloaded the program, you may contact the party from whom you acquired it for instructions on how to obtain the refund.

Software Subscription and Support applies
Yes. Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) is included with licenses purchased through Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage Express(R). Product upgrades and Technical Support are provided by
the Software Subscription and Support offering as described in the Agreements. Product upgrades provide the latest versions and releases to entitled software and Technical Support provides voice and electronic access to IBM support organizations, worldwide.
IBM includes one year of Software Subscription and Support with each program license acquired. The initial period of Software Subscription and Support can be extended by the purchase of a renewal option, if available.
While your Software Subscription and Support is in effect, IBM provides you
assistance for your routine, short duration installation and usage (how-to) questions, and code-related questions. IBM provides assistance via telephone and, if available, electronic access, only to your information systems (IS) technical support personnel during the normal business hours (published prime shift hours) of your IBM support centre.
